Тема: Across the curriculum: Science – Из жизни насекомого (стр.73)

Цель: обучение и контроль умений устной речи

Задачи:

обучающие: - освоить во всех видах речевой деятельности знакомые и новые лексические единицы по теме «Из жизни насекомого»,

- повторить использование в речи the Present Simple,

- развить навыки прогнозирования содержания текста на основе заголовка и иллюстраций (ознакомительное чтение),

- развить навыки выбора в тексте необходимой информации (поисковое чтение);

развивающие: - развить навыки и умения во всех видах речевой деятельности,

- развитие языковой догадки,

- развивать социокультурную компетенцию;

воспитательные: - воспитывать уважение к другим странам мира, их обычаям, культуре и традициям,

- воспитывать чувство толерантности,

- воспитывать уважительное отношение к природе

Тип урока: комбинированный

Ход урока:

  1. Организационный момент

Good morning boys and girls! I’m glad to see you today! What date is it today? What day of week is it today? Who is absent today? What is the weather today? Do you like winter? What do you do in this time?

  1. Предтекстовый этап

Мотивационная актуализация: Now it’s winter and some animals are asleep, what are they? (bears, frogs, hedgehogs, gophers – суслики, bats). Besides, there are no insects that fly everywhere and bite all other creatures.

Речевая зарядка: And before we start our lesson, let’s see what animals insects can bite as now you know a lot of them. I read you the riddle and you are to guess:

So now I think you can answer: what is the theme of our today lesson? Right you’re, it’s insects! By the way, there are a great number of different types of insects in the world. Their life is very different. Before we start answer to the following questions: 1. What would you like to know at this lesson? 2. What is the aim of the lesson?

OK, we’ve figured out that the lesson is devoted to insects, but what exactly? Let’s see. And to find it out you’re to guess the puzzle: Besides, you’re to paint on the map what insect where (in which country / continent) live.

Ознакомительное чтение: Good! Now look at the title of the text at p.73 (ex.2a). Try to guess what it is about.

Поисковое чтение: OK, that’s right! But we know a little about the insects’ life: when and how they sleep, what they eat for example. To find out this information let’s read the text titled ‘It’s an insects’ life!’ at p.73 and then answer my questions (ex.2b).

Фильм: But what are they, 10 million types of insects? Now we’ll watch the film about them. And before we start let’s write, for example, 10 insects you expect to see in the film. One correct insect is one point. Let’s start, you have 1 minute, then we watch the film and you underline the right word.

Факты: Moreover, some of you know much about insects mentioned in the film, so you can tell us about them. By the way, another group is to listen to very attentive as you’re to answer the questions of the first group.

  1. Послетекстовый этап

Good! Our time is up. So now tell me please what new information do you now know about insects? Can you talk about them to anybody?

And the final phase: a rebus. There is an encoded proverb you’re to decode it using a letter that matches the number: Butterflies come to pretty flowers.
