Russian newspapers. What kinds of newspapers do we read? »
Цели урока:
Познавательный аспект
- различие видов газет по их характерным признакам: broadsheets and tabloids,
знакомство
с русскими и английскими газетами.
Развивающий аспект
- развивать речевые умения на основе творческого
использования ранее усвоенного материала, развитие
творческих способностей учащихся, способности
к сравнению и сопоставлению полученных знаний, развитие умения формулировать и
излагать логически свои высказывания.
Воспитательный аспект
- воспитание потребности и способности понимать культуру своей и другой страны.
Учебный аспект
– совершенствование навыков чтения с различными
стратегиями; развитие речевых умений
на основе прочитанного.

Ход урока:
I.
Оргмомент
T: Оne
of the best ways to learn about the world is reading newspapers. They are
packed with the latest news, information and facts and help us to be in the
know of everything. Besides, they usually provide us with extra details,
commentaries and blackground information. What is more, newspapers include a
variety of political views, interests and levels of education so you can choose
a newspaper according to your interests.
II.
Речевая зарядка
T: Today we will
speak about broadsheets and tabloids.
Answer the questions.
1. What
was the difference between tabloids and broadsheets m the past. (P: different
format: a tabloid was smaller and the format of broadsheet’s newspaper was
bigger).
2. What
is the difference between them nowadays? (P: Today T. and B. are different
kinds of newspapers: easy reading and quality newspapers.)
3. What
do T. write about? (P: T. report news in a very condensed form. They write
about celebrities, the British Royal Family, sports, crime stories and
scandals).
4. What
do broadsheets focus on? ( B. give their readers long, detailed reports on the
latest news and focus on more serious things: politics, economy, government,
international events, business, culture).
