1)  Good morning! How are you? Who is absent today?

 Let’s begin our lesson. The theme of our lesson is “ The members of the British Royal Family”.  I want you to demonstrate your knowledge in geography and history and of course, in English.

The aim of our today’s lesson is to know more about the country, which is called Great Britain. To learn more about it’s customs and traditions and to speak about this country.

   2.First of all, to check your knowledge, your home task I want you to answer the questions  of the quiz “What do you know about Great Britain?”

1)      Where is the UK situated?

2)      How many parts are there in the United Kingdom?

3)      Name the capitals of each country!

4)      The population of the country.

5)      What is the official language of the UK?

6)      The name of the flag of the  UK is called …

7)      Who rules the UK?

8)      Who is the Queen of the UK?

9)      When did the Queen become the Queen of the UK?

10)  What does the word “monarch” mean?

11)  What is the role of monarch?

12)  Who can say about the unwritten law in Britain?

14)  What do you know about the Parliament of the UK?

15)   How do they come to their seats?

16)  When was the Parliament of the UK  founded?

17)   At what age may  citizens vote in the UK?

18)  What can you say about the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan?

1926 –She was born

1936- After her father succeeded to the throne she became heir presumptive .

1940- She broadcast for the first time.

1944 – She was appointed a Counsellor

1947- Her  engagement with prince Philip was announced, and their wedding ceremony.

1952- She came to the throne on 6 February 1952 following the death of her father.

1953- Her coronation took place in Westminster Abbey on June 2, 1953

2002-The 50^th anniversary of her Majesty the Queen’s accession to the throne.
