The theme of the lesson: “Continents and countries”

The aims of the lesson:

  1. educational - to enlarge pupil's knowledge.

  2. developing - to develop pupil's abilities in speech

  3. bringing up - to educate the feelings of international friendship and love to our Motherland.

The visual aids of the lesson: pictures, charts, crosswords, cards, computer.

Good morning, children! Sit down, please.

P: The name of the planet we live on is the Earth.

P: If we look at the Earth from the space we will be able to see lands, seas, oceans, continents and even countries.

3. How many oceans are there on our planet?

P: There are 4 oceans on our planet.

4. How many continents are there? What are they?

P: There are 6 continents: Europe, Asia, Africa, America, Australia and Antarctic.

5. What separate the continents from each other?

P: Oceans and seas wash them and separate them from each other.

6. What is the largest country of the world?

P: The largest country of the world is Russia.

  1. T: Our country is the 2nd largest country in the former Soviet Union. It is very rich. There are a lot of mineral resources, we have already mentioned. More than 130 nationalities live in our Republic. They all live in friendship and love. Kazakhstan is known all over the world. They love our president N.A Nazarbaev and Kazakh people for their hospitality. We see the feelings of international friendship and love to our Motherland and we are proud of being the citizens of our Republic. Let’s sing our anthem.
