Good afternoon,
dear teachers and students. We are happy to see you here. As you know, nowadays it’s very important to know English. English
is spoken all over the world and very popular. Millions of people study and use
English as a foreign language. English today is absolutely necessary for every
educated person, for every good specialist.
Presenter 2:
There
is a tradition
of our college life, which
accounts for six years, professional
contest “English Competition - 2014”. And today our third-year students are going to compete in knowledge of English.
They’ll demonstrate us both their knowledge of English and creative abilities
as well as their sense of dramatic skills. We hope that our competition will be
interesting. I wish you success. Be active, honest, industrious and
helpful and you'll be sure to win.

OK. Let’s get
started. The first part of our competition is presentation. Each team
must present yourselves. You’ll be given 3 minutes. Good luck!
Presenter 1:
Our participants
will be teachers and interpreters in future. So our
second part is professional. You will be given the problematic situation, it is necessary to solve the problems
on the basis of knowledge of
pedagogy and psychology. Each team must dramatize the situation. The situations
are on the Interactive board. Choose your tasks,
please. You’ll be given 2 minutes.
Situation 1
You
are invited to a job
interview. You're a little late and
become much worry.
What will you do in this situation?
Situation 2
You are an
interpreter. Today is your first working day as an interpreter. You are much
worried, because you are invited for an important meeting. What will you do in this situation?
Situation 3
You
have started the lesson,
all pupils sat down, there was silence (тыныш болды),
and suddenly someone in the class let
the paper plane to fly
(қағаздан жасалған ұшaқты ұшырды). And the others (басқалары да) started to play plane with
the paper plane too.
What
will you do in this situation?
Situation 4
At the lesson of English you are
explaining new theme (жаңа сабақты түсіндіру).
But one pupil is using mobile telephone, instead of listening to the teacher (мұғалімді тыңдаудың орнына).
What will you do in this situation?
Presenter 1:
While our teams
preparing for their tasks, we’ll invite the student of the group ЕB-31 Lavakbayeva Asya. She has prepared a quiz game for you. Meet her.
Asya: I’d like
to play a game with our audience.
You should repeat the tongue-twister as quickly as you can.
Presenter 1: Thank you, Asya
Presenter 2: It’s time to dramatize the situations. Remember that you must
show not only your knowledge of English, but also your acting abilities.
Presenter 1:
Now, our
third part is creative. It was your home task. All the teams show us their
creative abilities. They may recite a poem, sing a song, and show a sketch and
so on. You’ll be given 5 minutes.

2: Let’s listen to our
participants.
Presenter2: You know, on the 1st of December we will
celebrate new public holiday - the First President's Day
Presenter
1: And soon we are going to celebrate the Independence
Day of Kazakhstan. So, the next part is
defining the knowledge of our country. Please, choose
the questions on the Active Board.
