The theme: I’d like a hamburger

The aims of the lesson:
Educational: to enlarge pupil’s vocabulary, to speak about foods and drinks;
Developing: to develop pupils’ skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking speech, to understand oral speech.

Bringing-up: to bring up healthy way of life and healthy eating.


The form of the lesson: practice lesson
The type of the lesson: competition lesson

Methods of teaching: Explanation answer - question, listening, work in pairs and work in groups. training, explanation, demonstration, interaction

The equipment of the lesson: diagrams on the tasks, pictures, posters, computers, interactive board.

The contents of the lesson
I. Organization moment. Putting questions to each other.
a) Greeting 5 minute
Good morning, pupils! I’m glad to see you.
Thank you, sit down. «События вашей жизни напрямую зависят от вашего настроения»,- считал английский писатель Уолли Эймос. И я желаю, чтобы у вас всегда было хорошее настроение, и надеюсь, что наш урок будет этому способствовать.
- Look at each other and smile and say “Hello”

При виде мяса кот урчит,
Мясо по-английски… meat.
Кило сыра съел кот Маркиз,
Сыр, сырочек будет … cheese.
Знают дети: обезьяна
Любит фрукт, что звать … banana.
Запах чудесный , нельзя ошибиться!
Это ж друзья, итальянская …

Дети вспоминают слова, которые не назвали.

II Fonetic drills. 1 minute To prepare our tongue for correct pronunciation of some name of food we should look at sound and read them:
[ai] -like, ice cream, rice - Will you name the words with this sound?
