“The Turnip”
Characters: The storyteller, the Turnip, grandfather, grandmother, granddaughter, the dog, the cat, the mouse, the sun, the rain.
Storyteller: Once upon a time there lived an old man. One day he decided to sow a turnip.
Grandfather: Grow, my little turnip, grow testy and big.
The sun: Grow up, little turnip, grow up! It is worm!
The rain: Drink, little turnip, drink and grow!
Storyteller: Look there are green leaves on the turnip. Soon the turnip will grow.
Grandfather: Oh, what a big turnip we have in our garden. I want to pull it out.
Storyteller:Pulls the turnip.
Grandfather: One, two, three! It is too big for me.
Storyteller:Calls the Grandmother.
Grandfather: Grandmother, come here and help me!
Grandmother: What is that, my dear?
Grandfather: Help me to pull the turnip out!
Grandmother: All right, dear.
Storyteller: Grandmother by Grandfather, Grandfather by the turnip. Pull the turnip. Pull and pull, no result. Grandmother calls the Granddaughter.
Grandmother: Oh, granddaughter! Come here!
Granddaughter: Yes, Grandmother!
Grandmother: Help my to pull the turnip out!
Granddaughter: All right, Granny. I’m coming.

All together: Help us to pull the turnip out!

Storyteller: Dog by Granddaughter, Granddaughter by Grandmother, Grandmother by Grandfather, Grandfather by the Turnip. Pull the turnip. Pull the turnip. Pull and pull, no result.
Cat: May I help you? May I help you?
All together: Yes dear cat! Help us to pull the turnip out!

Cat: Mouse, Mouse, come here! Help us, please!

Dog: Our turnip is so sweet!
