THE CONTENTS:

The aim of the work is:

•         To investigate the life and work of the astronaut A.G. Nikolayev;

•         To find photos from Nikolayev’s life;

•         To present the results of the work.

Introduction.

There are a lot of different professions in the world. Each of them is important and useful in its own way. As we know this year is devoted to cosmonautics. And we can be proud that the second cosmonaut in the world  was our compatriot A. G. Nikolayev.

That’s why I decided to take up the theme “The hero, who brought Chuvashia to the skies”

While preparing, I studied different sources of information : newspapers, books, documents about our compatriot. And now I would like  to present the results of my work to you.

The study of the life and work of the astronaut A.G. Nikolayev.

Andrian Nikolayev was born in 1929 into a peasant family. He spent his childhood in his native village - Shorshely. When a child, he lost his father, his life was not easy. He knew from an early age the price of bread. He wanted to become a good man, he worked hard because Andrian understood well that he is happiness depended on education. He experienced the life working on the banks of the Volga and the Sura. For Adrian the vital road was not easy, but he never gave up and did not complain, he tried from the heart - that's why he won.

Having received the diploma  of  technology-forester in 1947 Andrian  went to Karelia. First he worked as  a foreman’s assistant  and then as a master.  

What helped A.G. Nikolayev to become a world famous astronaut. Study and analysis

Since his childhood Andrian loved and respected people doing the work initiated from the beginning up to the end, with love and mood. In 1947 Andrian Grigorievich received his diploma of a Technician forester and went to Karelia. Andrian was a diligent worker himself, respected the work of others, that is why the workers loved him. In 1950 Andrian joined the Soviet Army.

The shooter of the aircraft does not think yet that in ten years he will fly even higher.

After attending flying school he receives the title of a fighter pilot.

In 1960, Nicholayev finds himself in a group of astronauts, and begins to train hard. Here he met the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. In this photo you can see the discussion of Gagarin’s flight. Soon is the turn of Andrian.

He trains for the flight very hard…

 Soon the Vostok-3  lifts the young cosmonaut Soon the Vostok-3 "lifts the young Chuvash cosmonaut Nikolayev into space.

The workers with whom we worked in Karelia Nikolayev  were very happy for him.

In August 1962 thousands of people congratulated the heroes of space.

In this photo Khrushchev is  among the astronauts and their families.

Even during the first flights Nikolayev became the world record holder in several sports.

He was  awarded the Order of Lenin and the Star of the Hero. And here is his speech.

The leader of the country was very pleased with the achievements of  the astronauts.

To learn to love own homeland, the Chuvash people, how Andrian did it

In 1963 Nikolayev married. He married the first woman-cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova. Thus was formed a family of astronauts.

All his spare time Andrian Grigorievich dedicated her daughter Alena. He was very fond of his grandson, too.

        

In 1970, AG Nikolayev makes the second flight into space, along with V.Sevastyanov on the Soyuz-9.

Then he visited and was warmly greeted by  people in different countries: BULGARIA, HUNGARY, INDIA, VIETNAM, MONGOLIA, ALGERIA, CHECHIA.

The hero of Chuvashia was respected and loved not only at home but also in the Star City. He was particularly respected for his  diligence and accuracy, with the mind of the knowledge of technology, for his patience.

His colleagues believed him to be reliable and capable. A.G. Nikolaev was entrusted to lead a group of astronauts.

He was closely connected with his relatievs.

 You can see him here with his mother and younger brother and sister named Peter and Zina.

Going on a holiday does not mean sitting idle. Nikolaev was elected as a deputy and was engaged in public work. In 2004, at the V summer Russian sports games, he was elected the chief judge.

Our well-known compatriot was  Hero of the Soviet Union, The Honorary Member of the World Academy of Astronautics, The Hero of Bulgaria, The Hero of Mongolia, The Hero of Labor of Vietnam.

The museum of space in Shorshely is visited by people from all corners of the earth.

The name of Andrian Grigorievich will always remain in our memory.

In the same village there is a museum of space.

•         In 2009, January 21-23, in  Moscow the readings about the science of astronautics were heald.  A former student  of our school  Ulasov Denis took part there. He performed there with the research work of " Andrian’s Star Trek. For this work, Dennis was awarded the diploma and expensive gifts.

•         It is worth mentioning that in our school for many years a circle "A young Astronaut" is working.  It’s leader is the deputy director on educational work N.A. Atlaskin. Every years the students of our school go on a tour to the museum in Shorshely , get acquainted with the museum‘s  exhibits.

CONCLUSION:

•         Nikolayev’s diligence, endurance, humility helped him to become a world famous person.

•         A.G. Nikolayev made Chuvashia more famous, he raised the Chuvash people.

•         It was decided to build the monument to A. G. Nikolayev in our capital city of our republic Cheboksary at the end of Nikolayeva street (it’s height will be 4,5 m). There is already one monument to him at the beginning of Nikolayeva street.

•         So we must be proud of our compatriot, who made our Chuvashia known all over the world.
