Relevance of the chosen subject.
People cannot live without music. They listen to music, dance to music or learn to play musical instruments. There is music everywhere: at home, in a concert hall, in the park, at the seaside, in the forest and even in the street.
Music is not only a combination of pleasant sounds. It is an art which reflects life. Music reflects people's ideas and emotions. In this world of ours, filled with conflicts, tragedies, joys and hopes, music strives to speak to people of what is most important, urgent and poignant.

Analysis of the Literature.
In our work we have used online resources, and we have studied several books on the subject and on the basis of the information we have done the project.
Music as a way of self-expression.
In today's world, many teens want to be different from the rest. This desire is natural, understandable and reasonable. Desire not to be the same and to be unique is normal. The only problem is that not everybody realizes their aim. Someone thinks that he is the best due to music he listens to. Very often, these people are influenced by various sub-cultures, such as: punk, rap and the like.
People are united by interests in groups, members of the so-called melts sub-cultures. They learn, communicate, spend time together. Since they share not only music and they prefer other unusual things they are begun considered to be strangers. So they shut themselves off from the people who prefer other music.
All this certainly affects the person's identity. Preferring a certain music or following any sub-culture a man changes his personality. It is no secret that the items of clothing, a person's appearance affect his mind and way of thinking, exactly like the tattoo. This is proved by psychologists. Likewise, music and, in particular, the lyrics influence the thoughts and life style of such people.
Types of music.
Most critics share the modern musical genres into three main areas: pop, rock and rap, which in turn are rooted in earlier styles. Pop - a modern popular music. This is a very broad term covering a variety of genres such as disco, trance, house, techno, funk, new wave, and others.
Rock as a separate genre is rooted in the "black" American blues, which appeared in the 20-30s. To be precise, rock emerged from the branches of the genre - blues guitar, which is much smaller than keyboards and wind instruments. Rap as a genre is derived from dance music. One of the main features is the absence of rap vocals, which is replaced by a recitative. Rap is read like poetry, but is not sung.
Musically, rock has remained virtually the same blues, but their semantic content is different: rock - the music of protest against society, government, or something else.
Types of rock:
PUNK ROCK ("punk" "punk", "garbage") this term - eventful and has a long biography.
First it sounded with regard to numerous Amateur (or "garage" for them, the place-based) groups that emerged in the U.S. after the "British invasion": dirty sounding bad tools, expressive minimalism and did not link the textual censorship shocking limited their popularity, but allowed to form their own audience..
Today, punk rock and its many varieties occupy a fairly large amount of the total mass of released records.
Most punk bands have contracts with indeterminate and retain the radical-critical look at the reality. [Damned, Anti-Nowhere League, Vibrators,
Crass, GBH, the Exploited, the Clash, the Buzzcocks].
Oh! – much more direct and radical form of punk, initially - music for working youth,
formed under the influence chants of football hooligans.
They had invented the term to refer to an entire galaxy of British bands playing speed, uncompromising punk choruses, inspired by the chants of football fans. Prototypes of the genre is widely recognized as Sham 69 and Skrewdriver.
Since the mid-80s, "Oh!" was not so much a symbol of musical style but much is a term that generalizes huge mass skin medical (both right and left) bands with punk rock roots, but often with very different music - from sky to heavy metal. [Cockney Rejects, 4 Skins, The Business, English Rose, AntiHeros, EdelWeiss, Battle Front]
Hardcore (hardcore, hard-core) - faster and tightened punk or Oh! The main features of hardcore: high-speed drums, primitive "dehkordi" guitar riffs, short songs (often no more than a minute, then a and 30 seconds. Also it is highly desirable to listen to Slayer album "Undisputed Attidude", where shaggy commercial metallers showed how to play hardcore, rattling off two dozen classic punk/hardcore militants. Hardcore tightened by the American punk-rock, generated primarily by the efforts of a group Black Flag. Main features: short songs, deliberate twice, infinite speed, a complete disregard of the major recording companies. The first hardcore album - 'Group Sex' Circle Jerks (1980).
Grindcore (Grindcore) maximally tightened hardcore, the most extreme form of punk rock, sometimes c add some metal. Main features: ultra-fast drumming, intense blast beats,
lowered the system guitars, atonal riffs, furious recase-screaming vocals, very short songs (up to 2 seconds).
[Brutal Truth, Napalm Death, Sore Throat, Anal Cunt, Anal Blast, Last Days of Humanity]
Crust (Crust) - a cross between hardcore punk and grindcore. Usually combines punk/hardcore instrumental with grindcore vocals, often double (recase-squealing).
[Extreme Noise Terror, DrillerKiller, Crust Attack]
Power-violence - another result of mixing hardcore with grind-core interactions. Highly dispersed hardcore with screaming vocals.
Often power-violence compositions consist of rapidly alternating hardcore and grindcore elements.
[Charles Bronson, Dropdead, Insult, Spazz, Capitalistic Casualties, Fuck On The Beach]
Noise-core - super-extreme, primitive, and weighted grindcore. The most brutal form of music (specifically, anti -) terrorism.
It is worth noting the lack of harmonies, absolute atonality reefs (if present), extremely dirty, raw and low sound, all the same proverbial brevity of the songs.
Noise-core directly borders with the usual NOISE, a mixture of different noises (including completely non-instrumental).
[Anal Cunt, Pile Of Eggs, Merzbow, Gore Beyond Necropsy]
GRUNGE (GRUNGE) Tanouchi, nasal, dirty and to the disgust of depressive alternative rock, rooted in punk rock, but completely opposite in ideology.
The founders of grunge certainly are, Husker Du, which is becoming slower every year, from hardcore team became heavy,
evil dark incarnation of punk rock depression. Thus the first grangeway disk, you can call their double album 'Zen Arcade' (1984).
The sound of Husker Du was picked up on the Atlantic coast of the United States, where he originated the notorious grangeway scene - Green River, Melvins, Helmet, and finally Nirvana.
In these grunge-teams without a shred of actual rebellion, and therefore to them, unlike the classics type Husker Du or Meat Puppets, "true" punk rockers have nothing but understandable disgust.
POP PUNK (POP-PUNK) - Soft, entertainment form of punk rock. Pop-punk is often very quick and absolutely no pop, but nevertheless are calculated on the audience loving to listen to good rock n roll or simply entertain.
To grasp the essence of the genre without too much hassle, you only need to listen three key sample:
The Ramones 'Leave Home'
Buzzcocks Another Music In A Different Kitchen'
Green Day's 'Dookie'.
POST-PUNK (POST-PUNK) - a Set of musical forms that emerged in rock music after 1980.
Often in the narrow sense, post-punk understand the generation of groups, characteristics of which is the use of the principles of minimalism and facing on a clean guitar sound.
Usually post-punk is pretty weak similarity to punk rock.
SKA (SKA) is More archaic, negede ragga, the shape of the folklore of Jamaica. 60-e was known as the BLUE BIT and together with migrants from the West Indies came to Britain.
Staying during the 60-70s, pure "racial", Ska music became popular in the late 70's along with the folklore of other ethnic minorities with the advent interatomic groups associated with the independent Manchester firm 2- + tone" ("Selecter", "Specials", "Beat"), which allowed her to achieve success on a global level.
Ska has a more simple and more dance rhythm, rather than reggae, and white is much easier to adapt it to your musical needs.
Took advantage of many punks who began to pigovat their music with elements of ska, as is done by NOFX.
And often base almost all their rhythm on ska - like Operation Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
Initially in punk rock Ska came thanks to the efforts of Clash.
SANABELLE (PSYCHOBILLY) - a Genre that was born at the intersection of punk rock and rockabilly in the early 80s with the advent of group Meteors, who played a major role in this.
In the U.S., something similar also created Cramps, but their style was more theatrical in nature.
A new genre of rockabilly got the sound, melody, structure, from punk - spirit, energy and lyrics.
The style is distinguished by an aggressive and raw sound, subcultural texts and dedication of rock ' n ' roll.
New wave (new wave, new wave) - In essence, the totality of the forms and directions that emerged in music after 1975:
Punk rock in various forms, post-punk, pop-post-punk, Gothic wave, etc.
Actually new wave of the early 80's, ska, reggae, salsa (racial forms, which became the objects of worship in 80-e),
Neorockabilly, neopsychedelic, newmode; LEU-wave or punk jazz; hard-core and its derivatives; the neo-romantic. From the above it is clear that a new wave differed from the previous one not only stylistically, much methodologic
Eski, showing an example of a qualitatively different worldview.
Punk jazz (punk-funk, know-wave) - In the late 70's experimental scene clubs of the lower East side (new York), whose members tried to return jazz to its original simplicity and energy.
Using the principles of minimalism, the tonality, rhythmic patterns funk and discordant singing, they created quite peculiar, though not too musical style with a crushing rhythm, monotonous sound of instruments and irritating-non-melodic vocals.
By the mid-80s, the movement collapsed, although its representatives continue to operate in "border areas",
between jazz, rock, avant-garde and concrete music.
Along with the new wave of heavy metal is the most popular but also the most commercial insurance the direction of the rock of the 80s. Although the term is used since the early 70's, modern school style has little in the aesthetics of heavy metal and hard rock of the 70s.
The current heavy metal emerged in the early 80s as a reaction to the incompetence and the commercial failure of punk rock, although its adherents, United press under the name "new wave of British heavy metal", passed in the majority of school punk rock and borrowed his themes, monotony and some Executive techniques.
Later stylistic similarities brought them into contact with artists of hard rock, faithful to his music since the 70s.
Types of club music:
In the mid-80's in Chicago, there was a new kind of dance music house. The name comes from the club Warehouse (warehouse). That's where Chicago DJs first tried to mix the singles group Kraftwerk sound radically new for that time of a device called a drum machine. They appealed to the traditions of the underground and the best contemporary tracks still sound somewhat "underground", perhaps also because of the quality of the recording. The roots of this music - disco. Characteristic is the rhythm of the disco, swing sound, catchy melodies and a General feeling of joy and fun. One word - music for happy. Classic house is simple: beat four quarters: 1 2 3 4 not too fast a tempo of 120 beats per minute), corresponding to the heartbeat dancer. Many believe that the drum samples used in the classics from MFSB "Love is the message" is the Foundation of the house. Also widely used merry vocals in the spirit of Saul.
Progressive - this kind of house. Full name - Progressive House. There was this music in recent years. Characterized by the presence of a pretty catchy tunes and stable bit in 120 - 130 bpm. Why progressive - nobody knows, just one of the music magazines tried to identify the sound. Probably progressiveness is to return to the traditions of stable bits and melodic house. Whatever it was progressive today probably the most popular on the dance floor music, but also the most commercial. The progressive style of the most popular dance projects of European performers:
Quicksilver, Sash, Red5, Brooklyn Bounce, etc.
Dream House (dream house) is a style of electronic dance music that has had the greatest success on the stage in 1995-1997. Its main feature is usually soft, dreamy melody (as the name implies), is typically played on a piano, or in some cases, the violin, saxophone, etc.
There are soft melodic sounds, easy bit, unobtrusive background sound, possible female vocals or even choir. currently used mostly synthetic sounds, as well as computer samples.
The founder of this style is considered to be a Robert miles after the release of Children of the track.
In addition to Robert miles ' as such can be considered Adriano Dodici, Gigi d'agostino and Leonardo Rossi.
It is a living and emotional music, uplifting.
The Club House.
These branch came in the early 90s, when a wave of commercial music has swept Europe. Also as in the 80s disco called the typical music of the 90s was formed for the sole purpose of provides could get people to any way (read to consume this kind of music).
Simply put, the Foundation has remained the same as was described at the beginning of this narrative, however, removed all dissonant melodic mix, the vocals became more "sweet" and "complex" for the average listener perception of syncopation were also discarded.
The result is a simple and accessible music with a simple rhythm and a simple arrangement. Some species such music is also called a handbag (the name came from a kind of dance that is performed on the dance floor little girls around in their backpacks).
The most interesting form of a club house can be considered mellow, which used pure relaxation and the corresponding bit sounds.
"Deep house" - style, appeared at the intersection of the "old" Chicago house and gospel music. Overflowing melodies built on the old (and favorite) chord progressions played the ghostly sound of the Hammond organ. Deep house is the first house, and then deep and the sound is pretty minimalistic Deep House, vocal in it, not so much, but deep - one of the most complex in terms of the perception of style, for example, if at club house will dance everything, then under deep - much less.
Deep - music not only for legs but for the soul...
Some argue that Deep House is similar to the classic Detroit and is a fun mix of House music with vocals gospel. According to his fans - "Deep House is the opposite to the rest of techno, music, real people and not machines."
(The last statement comes, speaking in legal terms, from pristrastnych people, so it's debatable
The second generation Hausa generated by the atmosphere of the city of Chicago.
From other directions, this is plenty of trippy synthetic sounds (typical of classic acid known and established an electronic instrument Roland TB303), as well as a deeper psychedelic sound.
A very important factor is the almost complete absence of vocals.
This combination Husavik rhythms and deep slow bass line.
This branch was born out of the garage, but the vocals here are more e (treated with vocoders and other filters).
Slow bass line is taken and reggae. Also there is a noticeable influence of the drum basovoj patterns.
There are some off shoots house. This tribal house (with elements of ethnic), freestyle (with Latin percussion and disco samples), stadium house (the applied elements of stadium atmosphere, vocals with echo, the sound of roaring and cheering of the crowd).
Tribal House music with a very deep sense, it is energy, ritual, this music penetrates the subconscious and cause the TRANS.
Types of rap-music:
In the mid 70-ies, as the expression of low-income working population, on the streets of black neighborhoods of new York was first heard a new, completely revolutionary music. The most distinctive feature of the new generation of music was broken beat created by DJ's (DJ's) using turntables and electronic equipment, and the presence of vocals, then blamed for electronic music was very rare. In terms of music rap, Hip-Hop usually refers to the culture - drawing on the walls, dancing breakdance and torque "vinyl" in addition to repay the rhymes - ambient music. As a musical style, however, hip-hop is a type of music that is created, taking into account all these attributes. Since the direction was rotated on the music scene long enough to have a history of its development, hip-hop, the team began to look to the works of such old-school masters like MCs Kurtis Blow and Whodini and DJs Grandmaster Flash and Afrika Bambaataa. Actually recent surge in popularity (Zulu Nation) occurred in the late 80-ies around two of the most famous hip-hop artists - De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest. In the 90-ies, when there was a real breakthrough in rap music, dozens of hip-hop musicians began to return to the roots of old school (old school), including such underground rappers like Mos Def and Pharoahe Monch. Old School Rap: Old School Rap - this style is used very fast rap musicians, who were natives of New York City in the late 70's - early 80-ies. Old school (old school) it is easily distinguished from other directions its relatively simplistic rap, most lines in approximately the same time, and speech rhythms rarely change the direction along the bit composition. Modulation (lowering voice) usually just gets a bit, and when this does not happen, then it won't be long - the sound returns to the original palette for quick consonance (coordination). The emphasis is not on the lyrical side of music, but just on the "good old days" - it was far from socially puzzeled team Grandmaster Flash, which greatly expanded the horizons of rap music. Most of the material in the style of old school rap was fun and playful smack urban parties and discos, where he was born. Adhering to a good slow pace, the style of old school rap obviously had an excellent ground for the development of female rap, but no one was able to achieve more success than Grandmaster Flash & Furious Five or Sugarhill Gang. Some old school songs were played in tracks disco or funk, and others were diluted sintezatornym accompaniment (the last type of music, rap or without him, was known under the name of electro). The history of recorded albums in the style of Old school rap begins in 1979 With the advent of two singles from Fatback King Tim III and Sugarhill Gang Rapper s Delight, although this movement has evolved to almost 10 years. Studio Sugarhill Records quickly became the center of the style of old school rap and dominate the market for recording until such time as in 1983-84 Run-D. M. C. not contributed to the development of sound equipment and began to develop the direction of hardcore urban. Their sound and style soon took over rap space, making the club the orientation of the old school funk and the legacy of the 70's in something old-fashioned. When compared with the complicated rhythms and rhymes of modern modern-day rap or even hip-hop (which was published less than 10 years after Rapper"s Delight) - the direction of the old school rap may seem a bit outdated and sluggish. However, the best tracks of old school live on as the best music for parties - regardless of a new era in which we live. This is surprising, taking into account exploring the development of musical culture.
Southern Rap, like the "third wheel" between East Coast and West Coast hip-hop, appeared in the 90-ies on the rich music scene of Miami, New Orleans and Atlanta. In the late 80-ies, Southern rap in heavy duty associated with Miami bass music, and was also known as the booty rap for their fiery rhythms and the dominance of the lyrics. The main performers can be called a team Luther Campbell"s 2 Live Crew, which brought the topic of sex in his texts to the maximum limit, causing noisy protests from fans of censorship across the country. The sounds of Miami bass has spread throughout the southern United States, the main dance rhythm nation 90-ies. On this stage was dominated by artists like Tag Team, 95 South, 69 Boyz, Quad City DJ"s and Freak Nasty. They produced a large number of hit singles (filled with much more explicit lyrics than Campbell). Atlanta belonged to a number of players in the style of heavy party rap, it also developed a more typical (and recognized by critics) style, mixed classic Southern soul. Intelligent team Arrested Development was the first, which was a huge success at the national music scene in 1992. A few years later, their success was repeated by Organized Noize, especially OutKast and Goodie Mob. If Atlanta was the creative heart of the Southern rap, New Orleans was, of course, its commercial label. Master P built a profitable Empire with the help of record companies No Limit. Most of the album, were written at the Studio No Limit belonged to the direction of West Coast G-funk, Wu-Tang-style hardcore and nothing else, how gangster lyrics. Studio No Limit released a music performance products factory production line and became a regular participant in the national album charts in the late 90-ies. By decade's end, Cash Money Studio (New Orleans) and her house producer Mannie Fresh - whose special approach enabled to process audio material Southern bass created a national breakthrough, presenting musical style Juvenile team as a legitimate competitor to existing favorites.
Underground Rap breaks down into two categories. Or hardcore hip-hop that push the musical boundaries and is much more interesting lyrics than gangster clichés, or hardcore gangster rap, which has collected all the musical and lyrical stereotypes of these genres. These two styles agree that pay equally little attention to the traditions and conventions of the main musical culture, they glorify their status of independence. Underground rap is written in large studios less than hip-hop, but often sounds the same.
Party Rap - bass, noisy hip-hop, whose sole purpose is to maintain a rhythm. Confused, inconsistent texts, without any political connotation inherent in the direction of hardcore rap, plus a small proportion of skill from old school rap. Instead, you get only the music, dominated by bass and drums. This trend is closely associated with music, Miami bass, but usually in the compositions can be met only one vocal "flavor" - as, for example, Da Dip or choir in Rump Shaker - which makes this record memorable.
The style of Jazz-Rap was an attempt to combine together African-American music of the past decades with a new dominant form of the present, which would allow them to pay tribute and to instill new life into the first element of this fusion, as well as to broaden the horizons of the second. While the rhythms of jazz-rap were completely borrowed from hip-hop, samples and sound texture mostly came from such areas of music, cool jazz, soul-jazz and hard bop. This style was the coolest and famous among other areas of hip-hop, and many performers demonstrated the Afro-centrist political consciousness, adding to this style historical accuracy. Taking into account the intellectual bias of this trend, it is not surprising that jazz-rap never became a favorite of street parties, but then, no one thought. Choose the representative of the Jazz-rap called themselves supporters of a more positive alternative to the movement of the hardcore/gangster, took the place of a leading position rap in the early 90's. They also stabilize to spread hip-hop among listeners who can't accept or understand the growing aggression of the urban music culture. Thus, jazz-rap found the main part of his fans in student dormitories, and were also supported by a number of critics and fans white rock alternative. Team Native Tongues (Afrika Bambaataa) - this not complicated new York team, composed of African-American rap group - has become a powerful force that represents the style of jazz-rap, including groups such as A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul and the Jungle Brothers. Also known musicians, who began their work, Digable Planets and Gang Starr. In the mid to late 90-ies, when the alternative rap began to split into a large number of sub-genres, jazz-rap is not often been an element of the new sound, however, the Roots are often used to put it in "live" instrumental hip-hop songs.
While this term may refer to several musical directions, Hardcore Rap is characterized by confrontation and aggression, as in the lyrical sense, is heavy, divvy bit noisy samples and recording, or in any other combinations. Hardcore rap is hard, street, stressful and often menacing style (although the latter epithet is not always the case, there will also be a place for humor and bright colors). The Gangsta rap style most closely correlated with hardcore rap, but not the whole essence of hardcore rap lies in the themes belonging gangsta, although it should be noted a large number of matches, especially in the hardcore rappers of the 90-ies. First hardcore rap appeared on the East coast (the East Coast) in the late 80-ies, when the band began to move away from the club rhythms. Music and words began to reflect more demanding environment of the city in which it is usually were created and filled. Before the invention of specific formulas for directions gangsta rap musicians such as Boogie Down Productions (new York) and Ice-T were (Los Angeles) in his work created detailed descriptions of daily street life. Plus, chaotic sound combinations performed by Public Enemy has set new standards in the recording industry, and the team N. W. A. noted the gloom lifestyle ghetto and gangster the advent of vigorous masculinity. In the early 90-ies hardcore rap has become synonymous with the direction of West Coast gangster rap. This lasted until 1993. Wu-Tang Clan, whose free, minimalist bit, remembered trumpet and synthetic samples, were widely imitated. Sharp, street sounds hardcore rap helped him become the most popular style, combining elements of hip-hop in the last half of the 90-ies. His Foundation today is a partial combinations of club tunes, obsession with money/ sex/ violence inherent direction gangster and random social commentary of what is happening. Albums such musicians as famous B. I. G., DMX and Jay-Z went platinum in sales. A brand Master P underlying gangster-oriented Southern hardcore, also became a profitable commercial power, even in the case where it does not pose a fusion of hits on the same level.
Gangster Rap started in the late 80-ies. This trend originates in hardcore rap. The gangster rap style differed hard, noisy sound. In lyrical, he was so sharp and rough stories about rappers urban disorders. Sometimes testy differed accurate reflection of reality, and sometimes it was just filled with exaggerations comics. In any event, this line has become the most commercially successful in the history of hip-hop since the late 80's to early 90-ies. In the process of its formation gangster rap caused significant controversy, as some of conservative minded organizations tried to prohibit distribution of albums these musicians. Even then, when a group of activists ousted several teams from leading record companies, they continued to create obscene music.
East Coast Rap.
In the beginning, hip-hop era, the whole rap belonged to the direction of East Coast Rap. All popular rap artists of the early period originated in the New York City area - legend of the "old school", such as DJ Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa, the Sugarhill Gang, Kurtis Blow and Run-D. M. C. as the development and promotion of rap style, he became more varied and diverse during the 80-ies, therefore, stereos began to appear throughout the country. But, nevertheless, the direction of East Coast rap remained dominant during the 80-ies. Although the sound of East Coast rap was not completely homogeneous, but since the mid to late 80-ies, this style tended to be more aggressive bits and combinations of samples, and many rappers were proud of their technical expertise in relation to the text content. In other words, with rare exception, East Coast rap became a musical style that is designed more for a busy audience than for the dance floor that has helped to transform the genre into a respected art form, a more Mature and complex. Typical representatives of this "Golden era" East Coast were artists like Eric B. & Rakim, Boogie Down Productions and Slick Rick, all of which differed lyrical direction inherent in old-school style, as well as heavier sound EPMD and Public Enemy. Based on the East Coast began his career positive team musicians of Central Africa "Native Tongues" collected by Afrika Bambaataa. Groups such as De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, the Jungle Brothers most of the other new York teams have had a major influence on hip-hop in the late 80-ies, as they could easily be distinguished rather by musical eclecticism than by geographic location. In 1989 the team N. W. A. released the album Straight Outta Compton, which became the evidence that West Coast (West coast) "stepped up" their sound and continued to work with sharp, street themes, and in combination with the ability of West Coast rap to save the main function of this sound like party music - helped make this area a dominant force in hip-hop in the 90-ies. The rise of Southern rap showed that the direction of East Coast rap could no longer remain dominant, but the 90's were marked by success in the region. In addition to the Bad Boy, the record company owned by Puff Daddy and generating huge profits, East coast (East Coast) has released a whole line of different from each other, but very popular musicians, including virtuoso lyrics Nas, e-Fugees and Roots, as well as team Wu-Tang Clan, which was influenced by hardcore.
Foreign Rap is hip-hop with rap inserts in any language besides English and Spanish. Basically, the direction of foreign rap has European roots. This music reminds Euro dance, as well as American hip-hop. This style is not as hard as American or Russian Rap, he chooses the path of least resistance, using a familiar technique, instead of searching for brand-new possibilities. A famous exception to this rule became jazz-rap, which, like the European hip-hop has undergone significant influence from the English acid house and acid jazz. Later on, all these practices were collected in European hip-hop.
If we consider hip hop terminology, downbeats relaxing, quite slow rhythmic pattern with soft, warm bass. The term first appeared in connection with publications in press reviews on Mo Wax-native instrumental hip hop. In General, it's not drum can be attributed to this category. In January 1998, the French team AIR released their debut album "Moon Safari", which is a great example of this category.
Comedy Rap is hip-hop that is meant for entertainment and fun. Quite often, it is rap rhyming funny content, but the music itself is (especially in the case of Biz Markie, according to some sources the coolest rapper in the style of comedy rap today) can be smart and funny at the same time. The heyday of Comedy rap accounts for 80 years when hip-hop was easier compared to the 90s (when gangster rap was the darkest musical style). At this time there were several rap parodies, such as A Chunky from Arsenio Hall, but in most comedy rap is a combination of real hip-hop and street humor.
Although British Rap can very rarely be heard outside of the UK and Europe, this style has its own traditions and style. Although, it is impossible to find a great heritage of American hip-hop, but many British rappers grew rich Caribbean ragga traditions, and then entered the vernacular in hip-hop styles. British rap originated in the late 80-ies, and as a springboard used sound combinations from Public Enemy. Soon, many British rappers began to mix their music elements of acid house, - the result is a musical style from the more "heavy" category than its American counterpart. Although there was a faded copy, taken from American rappers, but the best British hip-hop musicians were divided into three camps. There were bands such as the Prodigy, mixed hip-hop and rave. There were teams like Leftfield, who worked in the club style hip. And was also attended by artists like Massive Attack, who slowed the rhythm of hip-hop, adding acid-jazz, all of which gave trip-hop. Even while these three teams continued to conquer new territory, on the music scene was noticeable predominance of British rappers who simply copied the Americans.
Alternative Rap is to hip-hop teams that refuse to follow any of the traditional stereotypes of rap, such as gangster, funk, bass, hardcore and party rap. Instead, they mix different genres, adding equal elements of funk and pop/rock, and jazz, soul, reggae and even folk. Although Arrested Development teams and the Fugees were able to achieve success and to Express themselves, most alternative rap groups remain largely by musicians for alternative rock fans, not for hip-hop or pop audience.
Music Hip-Hop and Urban appeared in the late 70-ies, the history of their development is often intertwined. The direction of Urban Soul came out of soft models Philly Soul and disco entertainment. Urban also has many (if not more) borrowed style and popular pop and classic soul. Thus, thanks to the layers of synthesizer, professional production and ballad orientation, Urban Soul rarely looked like a real soul. He sounded more like a pop, that was one of the reasons for its dominance in African-American musical genre of the 80-ies. Some musicians, such as Michael Jackson and Prince, revived the genre, breaking the tradition, but most Urban musicians continued to follow them, - someone did it better (Luther Vandross), someone worse. By the end of the decade, the Urban style began as an experiment to use Hip-Hop news. Hip-Hop is an umbrella term for rap and the resulting culture. Initially rap was very simple, vocalists read it under scratch and drum bits, but as it develops, this trend became more complicated. Rappers in the style of Hardcore, such as Run-D. M. C. and Boogie Down Productions, preferred to use the minimum bit and focus on lyricism of the songs, sometimes adding party hard-rock guitars. They prepared a springboard for the emergence of a Public Enemy, whose sharp, political rhythms and hard steel bit innovative in the late 80's and early 90-ies. By this time, Urban incorporates elements of Hip-Hop, expressed in the form of New Jack Swing music Urban soul with Repovesi rhythms. Moreover, rappers such as MC Hammer, Young MC and Vanilla Ice allowed themselves to soften the "sharp edges" of Hip-Hop, to be able to produce the first successful singles in the style of pop-rap. Some rap groups like answered it with gangster (gangster) rap. Team N. W. A. used the sound of PE, but has made the emphasis on grotesque scenes of violence, sex, lawlessness, but after the split of the group of musicians Ice Cube, Eazy-E and Dr. Dre began his solo career, and gangster rap has evolved in an interesting direction. Under the leadership Dre, gangster acquired booming beat and heavy bass from Funkadelic. In sonic terms, it was much less confrontational, music, Public Enemy, so soon the sound became the Urban style performed by such musicians Mary J. Blige. After a few years, rappers such as Puff Daddy finally erased the boundaries between Hip-Hop and Urban soul - these two areas are impossible to distinguish.
The breakbits ("broken" bits) stylistically finally emerged in 1994. The place of his birth is considered to be the UK and major cities, where this style initially received the most prevalent, are the London and Bristol. Most likely the soaring popularity of breakbeat was caused by the fact that by the time people are already somewhat tired from order of the bored house bit. Also popular are very strongly influenced by the fact that in the breakbeat often applied funk grooves, and a very noticeable impact hip hop will not notice just deaf. The main criterion for the determination of breakbeat are clean, virtually no processed drums and percussion (except perhaps in compression) and the standard 4/4 rhythm. The solo most often hit on the second and fourth share. Also in the rhythm may be a few extra breaks. Speaking in plain language, the rhythmic Foundation of breakbeat is based on the displacement of the share (syncopation) some shock or just a piece of rhythm. Most often syncopation occurs on the third beat. For the first time historically, this method was used by the drummers of James brown.
Bard music is a special musical-poetic genre that appeared in the USSR in the 1950s and has developed ever since. Bard song is a social-cultural phenomenon especially typical of the Soviet period. Bard song was opposed to the official Soviet art which was rendered lifeless by communist propaganda and ‘the universal lie’ (Y.Kim). The main trait of bard song is rejection of principles of Soviet pomposity and depersonalization of the human being. A natural combination of lyrics and music is an important feature of the genre. Bard song is an amateur, non-professional style, yet always sincere, human and one that is responsive to topical problems and needs. The bard is ‘a person out of the crowd’ who is not an alien to the listeners (this explains the style’s enormous popularity during the Soviet period). Bard song developed from the genre of urban romance song, the so-called ‘street song’ and thieves’ cant (or underworld/prison song). Initially it was performed in a circle of friends, sometimes around a camping fire, and was sung to the accompaniment of the guitar. The bard often is not professionally trained, which however is not viewed as a drawback. In the Soviet period the songs were not professionally recorded and that was the way of song popularization; the songs were recorded and re-recorded. The tourist song was one of the most popular genres of bard song. Some of the most brilliant representatives of the bard song authors and performers are M.Ancharov, A.Galich, B.Okudzhava, A.Gorodnitsky, Yu.Visbor, N.Matveyeva, A.Yakusheva, Yu.Kim, V.Vysotsky, S.Nikitin. Bard song has its own ‘sacred places’: the Vostok Club in St. Petersburg (founded in 1961) and the Grushin’s Festival in Samara (since 1968). Their purpose has been to popularize bard song in its best traditions
