    Very few people know about the International day of tea . And meanwhile, we such holiday, and people celebrate it on December 15 generally in those countries where tea is grown up and made. However, if you the real fan to drink tea, nothing prevents you to celebrate this holiday.
    The international day of tea for the first time passed in 2005 in New Delhi. It was carried out to draw attention of society and politicians to tea sale problems, position of workers of tea productions, and also promoting of this drink in the world.

Tea drinking was included strongly into everyday life of people and became its integral part. The national traditions connected with this drink were so gradually created.
    Tea came to us from China. China is the first place in the world that learned to cultivate this plant, and from there tea began the victorious procession along the countries and continents. China is a natural territory of growth of tea. According legends its history is more than 5000 years old. It is an ancient gift. Therefore its history leaves deep into centuries.     What is the Kazakh tea drinking? Tea drinking as a component of a meal is certainly included in the traditional entertainments accompanying numerous ceremonies of Kazakhs. It opens any traditional feast. At the end of a meal it was used to give koumiss earlier, and today instead of koumiss people arrange tea drinking.

    Kazakhs traditionally prefer to drink black tea. Today Kazakhs call black tea “red tea” (Kyzyl Shai). The word "red" indicates not color of tea leaves here, and for color of tea leaves and for color of tea after its addition in cream: it has to be not whitish, but red, i.e. tea leaves have to be strong.
    To storage tea Kazakhs used small chests – Shai Sangdyk – wooden, frequent on legs with a loop and a lock. Everything that was necessary for tea drinking was stored there: the tea, sweet, sugar, cookies, candies.

    Tea in Kazakh way
    Dry tea – 4–5 teaspoons, water – 500 ml, the sweetened cream or milk. Put tea in boiled water and in three minutes add cream. Mix it and filter in other jar then again to pour in the first jar, so that liquid was uniform. The tea is ready to drink in two minutes.

    In 1662 the British king Charles II married the Portuguese princess, the fan of tea drinking. But drink wasn't to the taste to the king. He imposed on tea import high taxes. Despite it tea imported more and more.
    In XIX century tea started being imported from China, then India and Ceylon became the leading suppliers.
    Before British got acquainted with tea, they knew only two main meals – a breakfast and a lunch. The lunch was a long and plentiful feast at the end of day. Having adopted the European habit of tea drinking, British entered additional day meal at 5 o'clock. A basis of the menu were small pies, sandwiches with butter, sweets and, of course, tea.

    The use of tea reduces risk of heart diseases. It occurs mainly because the antioxidants containing in tea neutralize oxidation products in an organism and promote appropriate functioning an endoteliya, or an internal wall of vessels.
    Tea protects from a cancer
    Researches also showed that tea helps to fight against some forms of cancer diseases at the initial and progressing stage.
    Tea and hygiene of an oral cavity
    Tea is a good source of fluoride. Four-five cups of tea in day provide to 50% of daily need of fluorine for an organism.
    Regular consumption of fluorine protects teeth from destruction. Tea in a certain degree interferes with growth of harmful microorganisms in an oral cavity, thereby, protects teeth and gums from their harmful effects.

    3. Both in Kazakhstan, and in Great Britain there exist tea traditions and ceremonies, for example, in Kazakhstan tea is drank with cream and drink it from drinking bowls, thus add a little pepper and wheat that tea in Kazakh is called; and in Britain people love tea with milk that tea is called English tea.
