Урок английского языка в 4 классе по учебнику «Spotlight»

по теме «Once upon a time»

Учебный раздел : Tell The Tale.


Цель урока: развитие языковой компетенции учащихся .


Тип урока: комбинированный урок.


Задачи урока :

образовательные: организовать тренировку тренировать учащихся в употреблении Past Simple в общении, закрепить в употреблении в речи учащихся Л.Е. по теме «Исторические события», «Сказки», формировать и развивать навыки чтения, говорения, аудирования.

развивающие - развивать языковые и интеллектуальные способности, умения анализировать и сопоставлять.  

воспитательные - расширить филологический кругозор учащихся,  формировать уважение и интерес к культуре и народу сраны изучаемого языка, формировать познавательную активность.


Формируемые  УУД:

формирование  ответственного отношения к обучению;

- освоению грамматического материала;

- умение задавать вопросы;

- формирование навыков сотрудничества.

Основные этапы урока:

  1. Организационный момент: приветствие, введение в языковую среду.

  2. Целеполагание.

  3. Фонетическая зарядка.

  4. Активизация лексического и грамматического материала.

  5. Физкультминутка.

  6. Развитие навыков чтения.

  7. Развитие навыков монологической речи.

  8. Игра.

  9. Окончание урока. Подведение итогов.

1. Greeting.

Thank you, sit down. Now we may start our lesson.

4. Revision and Use of the Past Simple tense

  • At home you prepared some projects on historical events. They are on the blackboard. Here you can see some English newspapers’ front pages. Let’s comment on the events that they present. Don’t forget to use Past Simple.

Look at the screen again. Here you can see some words. You’ve got them on your pink sheets. Now listen to me, look at these words and guess what fairy tale it is.

I get up very early every morning. I do a lot of work about the house. I am busy all the day round. I cook food. I clean the rooms. I wash the clothes. I want to go to the ball very much.

You are right, of course.

Включается отрывок из мультфильма. (Золушка убегает с бала).

And now try and guess what Cinderella did yesterday. Imagine that you are Cinderella. Try to make a story and tell us what you did yesterday. Don’t forget to use Past Simple.





And now let’s find out what Cinderella didn’t do yesterday. One pretends to be Cinderella. And others should ask her questions. Use the expressions on the blue sheets:

I got up early yesterday. I did a lot of work about the house. I was busy all the day round. I cooked food. I cleaned the rooms. I washed the clothes. I wanted to go to the ball very much.





Students ask questions. Cinderella answers. Did you play tennis yesterday? — No, I didn’t. I didn’t play tennis yesterday.

5. Relaxation

I think, you are tired. Let’s do some exercises. Stand up. Repeat after me.

Turn around 1, 2, 3. It is easy you can see.

Make your right foot tap, tap, tap,

Turn around 1,2,3. It is easy you can see.

The pupils speak after the teacher and repeat his movements.

And do you know the tale about Goldilocks and three bears? I want you to read the tale “Goldilocks and the Three Bears».

(Слайд 14) GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS

Once upon a time there were three bears. They lived in a forest — Mother Bear, Father Bear, and Baby Bear. And there was a pretty little girl. Her name was Goldilocks because her hair was yellow like gold. She lived near that forest and sometimes went for a walk there.

One afternoon Goldilocks walked in the forest and picked flowers. She saw a house. «What a nice house!» said Goldilocks. She came in and saw three chairs and a table in the room. One chair was very little. «What a nice little chair!» said the girl. She sat in the little chair, and she liked it. There were three plates on the table. One plate was very little. «What a nice little plate!» said the girl. Then she ate some porridge from the little plate, and she liked it.

Then Goldilocks went to the bedroom. There were three beds in it. One bed was very little. «What a nice little bed!» said the girl. She slept in the little bed, and she liked it.

Soon the three bears came back home. They saw that there was no porridge in the little plate. They were angry.

«Who was here in our house?» they cried.

Goldilocks woke up. She saw the angry bears and ran away.


The pupils read the text aloud.

You see the cards in front of you, write “yes” if the statements are true to the text and “no” if the statements are not true to the text.

Well done! You are the cleverest pupils. Was it interesting for you to speak about the tales? You’ve worked hard and I liked your work very much. At home do exercise 3 on page 95 and p. 48 in your workbooks.

Now I’d like to know how you feel about the lesson. If you were happy and interested at the lesson stick the smiling faces on the blackboard. If you were bored, tired, unhappy stick the sad ones.

Now at the end of the lesson we can sing a song. (Слайд 17)
