Teacher:
There is a group
of adverbs that are often used in Present Perfect. They are: already, ever,
never, just, yet. Such adverbs usually indicate the Present Perfect tense. They
have a fixed position in a sentence – before the main verb. Compare:
I have already
done everything.
Have you ever
been to Scotland?
She has just
finished doing the room.
Only «yet» is
used at the end of a sentence. For example, he hasn’t done it yet.
Other indicators
of Present Perfect are: this week, this month, this year, this morning, this
evening, today etc.
Now we will
learn how to use this rule and do ex. 2А, p. 57.

2. Teacher:
Let’s complete
the sentences in ex. 7 on p. 60 using the verbs in Present Perfect.

dinner together.
6) Jack is
happy because he has become captain of his football team.

Kate are happy because they have been to New York and have enjoyed
it.

because she has begun learning French.
9) Peter is
happy because he has run into the classroom before the bell. It’s the
first time when he hasn’t been late for his lessons.
10) Julia is
happy because she has played her favourite sonata on the piano very
well.
