1. Организационный

T – Good afternoon, my dear friends! Nice to
see you!
Who is on duty today?
What day of the week is it today?
What date is it today?
Who is absent today?
2. Сообщение темы и
цели занятия (вводное слово) (1-2 мин)
T – Today we are going to work on our theme
"Great Britain". First we'll train our tongues.
3. Фонетическая зарядка (4-5 мин)
T – Now let’s begin our lesson. Let’s
pronounce the Tongue-twister Challenge on page 108. Listen to me:
Three grеy geese in the
green grass grazing,
Grey were the geese and green was the grazing.

медленно, потом быстрее)
Т – Repeat after me.
T –You should learn the Tongue-twister
Challenge by heart. Are

Т – You must know everything about the UK
and you should tell about it today. Now answer my questions
What seas and oceans wash the country?
What is the UK?

What are the capitals of the countries?
What are their emblems?
Who can say everything about the country? (its geographical
position, capitals and emblems)/ Who will be the first?

islands: Great Britain and Ireland.
Great Britain is situated on the Northwest
coast of Europe.
Great Britain consists of three parts.
They are: England, Scotland, and Wales.
But United Kingdom consists of four parts:
England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
England is one of the parts of the UK.
The
English Channel and the Strait of Dover separate Great Britain and Ireland from
the continent.
The
Atlantic Ocean and the Irish Sea wash the west coast of the country; the North
Sea washes the east coast.
The
area of the UK is about 245km.
Its
population is over 57 million -people.
London
is the capital of England.
Cardiff
is the capital of Wales.
Edinburgh
is the capital of Scotland.
Belfast
is the capital of Northern Ireland.
The
symbols of countries are: red rose, thistle, leek and shamrock.
The
red rose is the emblem of England.
The thistle is the national emblem of Scotland.
The daffodil is the emblem of Wales.
The
Irish national emblem is a shamrock.
