План – конспект урока

Дисциплина: Иностранный язык

Группа: М-21 (Технология машиностроения)

Тип урока: комбинированный

Цель: Активизация употребление компьютерной лексики в речи cтудентов по теме: “Computers in our life.”


Учебные: 1. Совершенствование речевых умений, умения общего понимания иноязычной речи на слух и умения работать с обучающей компьютерной программой.

2. Ознакомить студентов с новой компьютерной лексикой и отработать ее в речи студентов.

3.Систематизация грамматического материала Participle I(II).

Развивающие:1.Pазвитие видов речевой деятельности: говорения, аудирования, чтения и письма; 2. Pазвитие языковых компетенций.

Воспитательные:1.Формирование организованности и активности в процессе выполнения заданий.

2. Формирование коммуникативных и информационных компетенций.

3. Грамотное использование ПК.

Методы обучения: информационно–развивающий, проблемно- поисковый

Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедиа проектор, презентация «Computers in our life» с музыкальным сопровождением, дидактический раздаточный материал.

Ход урока:

I. Подготовительный этап

1.Организационный момент

а) Приветствие студентов

Good morning students. I’ m glad to see you again. Sit down, please

Беседа с дежурным:

What day is it today?

What is the date today?

Is anybody absent today?

б) Ознакомление с задачами урока

A few words about the plan of our lesson.

1. At first, we’ll start with the speech practice.

2. Then we’ll check up your homework.

3. And at last the work at the theme: «Computers in our life»

Let’s begin our work.

We have already learned a lot about computers. Today we are going to speak about computers and their applications. As you understood the theme of our lesson is: «Computers in our life»

II. Основной этап. As we see computers play the important role in our life.

There are many computer applications in the modern world. Let’s consider some of them. Our students have prepared the presentation «Computers in our life» You can see it on the screen. Listen to the students’ reports very attentively and be ready to answer the questions.

1. Computers quickly entered into our life. They have changed our lives for the better. The modern computing machines present one of the most achievements of human thought, that is why it’s difficult to imagine our life without this clever machine.(cлайд1)

2. Today we almost use PCs in every office, in every house, in every school, on airplanes, etc. The user of the computer can be a writer and an artist, a doctor and an engineer, a musician and a teacher. It is the universal tool which is capable to help everyone. ( cлайд 2)

3. Computers in manufacturing

Numerous factories use computers to control machines that make products. A computer turns on and off and adjusts their operations when necessary. Without computers, it would be impossible for engineers to perform the enormous number of calculations needed to solve many technological problems.

Architectural and civil engineers use the computers in designing complicated bridges, official institutions, shopping centers and other structures. ( cлайд 3)

4. The robot

The Robot is also controlled by the computer. The Robot is a mechanical device. It can carry out the work, which for people proves to be too heavy or even impossible, for instance, in conditions of strong fierce frost. Quite often one robot can change two workers at the plant. ( cлайд 4)

5. Computers in research

Computers help in the building of spacecraft, and they assist flight engineers in launching, controlling and tracking the vehicles. Computers also are used to develop equipment for exploring the moon and planets. Computers have been of tremendous help to researchers in the biological, physical and social sciences. Astronomers use computers to guide telescopes and to process photographic images of planets and other objects in space. ( cлайд 5)

6. Computers in art

Computers can be used to compose music, write poems and produce drawings and paintings. A work generated by a computer may resemble that a certain artist in birth style and form, or it may appear abstract оr random. Computers are also used in the study of the fine arts, particularly, literature. They have also been programmed to help scholars identify paintings and sculptures from ancient civilizations. 7. Computers in education

There are many computer classes at our technical school. We can get basic computer skills for our future specialty there. We study some applications: Word 7.0, Excel 7.0, NetWare and others. At our computer lessons we print texts, draw graphs and electronic tables, create databases, translate texts, create new files and prepare projects. Our students like computer lessons very much because computers can do many lessons more interesting and convincing. (cлайд 7)

8. Today computers can store huge amount of information on magnetic media and any item of this information can be obtained in a few milliseconds and displayed or printed for the user. We all use PCs to make our life easier. (cлайд 8)

Salesperson: Нow can I help you today?

Fernando: I am thinking of buying a laptop and I have a few questions.

Salesperson: What would you like to know?

Fernando: A friend of mine recommended buying a Lap-Pal 2000 I wondering about power compatibility. I’ll be taking this computer back to Argentina with me.

Salesperson: That’s not a problem. This laptop has a universal power adapter. You won’t need to buy anything extra.

Fernando: O’key. Does the package include modem and DVD?

Salesperson: Yes, it does

Fernando: That’s good. Is this all software that’s included? .

Salesperson I think you’ll find that the software package is very versatile. But if you anticipate needing something specific, I am sure we can help you out.

Fernando: I’ll need something with more robust capabilities for spreadsheets and databases.

Salesperson: Then I’d suggest moving up to the Versa 2 package. It’s a little more sophisticated and it has enhanced printing and expended memory.

Fernando: How much is this package?

Salesperson: Right now we’re running a promotion. You can get the Versa 2 software option for $79 over the base price.

Fernando: I see. Would you suggest purchasing an extended warranty?

Salesperson: Oh, yes. The package comes with a standard one – year warranty on parts and labor, but I’d recommend getting that extended option. It’s only an additional $259, and you can avoid paying for repairs during the first three years.

Fernando: Would you consider throwing in an extended warranty?

Salesperson: Well, at these low prices, I am afraid I can’t do that

Fernando: Mmm…O’key I’ll take it anyway, with the standard warranty.

An automatic train operation system is being developed in our country. It will make possible to control and regulate train traffic on all railways. This system is being formed on the basis of computer centers which exist on each of the country’s 32 railway lines.

The purpose of the traffic control system based on electronics is to make easier the work of traffic controllers who direct the movement of trains on the most intensive lines. The computer will give the controller the full information on the conditions on the lines, model all the processes on the route and advise him what he should do to improve the situation. The computer will advise the drivers with which speed they should drive trains on each sector of the route.

The computer system will help train gatherers in their work. It is only now, in the computer age, that it has become possible to choose the necessary variants of train formation automatically. The new method will double the speed of train processing and make the work of railwaymen easier.

In the future it is planned to automate train driving as well. The computer will take over driver's functions, making it possible to considerably reduce the intervals of train movement.
