GARDENING IN ENGLAND
The aims of the lesson:
Educational: to explain the new grammar “past continuous”, to give clear explanation to example situations. Up-bringing to interest to learning English, to love our Motherland and to respect all the plants.
Developing: to develop the pupils speaking skills, writing and listening skills by working with texts analyzing and doing exercises.
The type of the lesson:
Competition lesson methods: question-answer, complex work, individual work and test.
Equipments: pictures, English grammar book with examples by Ayapova.
The procedure of the lesson:
T.Good afternoon my dear friends.
How are you?
Who is on duty today?
Who is absent?
What date is it today? What day is it today?
What is the weather like today? Well, each team take your sits please.
2.The checking up of the home task.
Teacher: What was your home task for today?
Student: ex.7a, writing
Teacher: Let’s check.
His father was planting trees/ His mother was watering the flowers.
Asel was whitewashing fruit trees. Omar was pruning dead branches.
Teacher: Today I have drought you an unusual multiplication table. Let’s do it together:5=g,6 8=a,9 5=r,6 7=d,6 2-e,9 7-n.
Aims: to teach the pupils to give the main information while asking and answering questions each other.
4.Presentation of the new material grammar: was/were+verb+ing.

T: Now while our interviewers will prepare us their reports let’s do this exercise. Choose the correct verb forms for the following sentences.
a)Mike met/was meeting Omar in the afternoon on Monday.
b)Mike phoned Omar. He was not at home /his father and Omar was/were working in the garden.
c)Omar’s father planted/was planning the trees at that time.
d)Asel white was washed/whitewashing the fruit trees at that time .
e)After the lunch between 2 and 3 Omar watered /was warring flowers.
f)Omar was/were pruning dead branches.
Teacher: Well, if our interviewers are ready, please come to the blackboard and ready our reports (ex.9,10)

England is famous for its gardens and most people like gardening. Flower and vegetable shows are popular in England.
The most beautiful flowers and the biggest vegetables. Growing plants is more important to many gardeners then looking at flowers or eating vegetables.

Данный урок-один из серии уроков по теме "Past Continuous" в 6 классе.Дети впервые изучают прошедшее длительное время, в 5 классе они изучали настоящее длительное время.На уроке использованы групповые, парные и индивидуальные формы работы. Для наглядности мы использовали таблицы образования длительных времен и спряжения глагола "to be". Также мы выполнили упражнения по закреплению правил фонетики.Дети активно работали у доски и выполняли упражнения на карточках.
