Greeting and Aim
T. Good morning, dear pupils! I am pleased to see you
at the lesson! Our topic today is “Travelling around the
world”. By the end of the lesson you should be able to participate in common
conversational exchanges about travelling, work in groups and pairs, talk about
travelling using the topical vocabulary.

Iceland is not only closer than you think, but far different
than you ever imagined. It is famous for its geysers, glaciers and active
volcanoes.
St 2. It is known for natural hot springs and spa
culture. Choose between relaxing in thermal pools, skiing, riverrafting and

St 3. Iceland is ideal destination for tourists who
like diving. Iceland is among 10 destinations worldwide for whale watching. The

He was born in Italy, but he lived in Spain for a long
time. He was a seaman and he dreamed about discovering
new ways to India where people found a
lot of gold.

Christopher Columbus organized the travel to India.
The King and the Queen of Spain agreed to give him the
money for the travel.

Columbus decided to sail westward as he was sure
that our world was round.
Christopher Columbus sailed 4.000 miles and, in 1492,
reached some land.

America! People started to speak about this land as the
New World.

During his second voyages he discovered Cuba, but
