act out a small dialogue between an ill person, a doctor and mom:
D:
Hello, this is doctor Aspirin. How may I help you?
Ill:
Hello, doctor Aspirin, this is ________(name), I think I got ill. I have got
a sore throat and running nose.
D:
I am sorry, but I can`t help you, I am on holidays, bye-bye!
Ill:
Oh no, what should I do to feel better? Aha! I know! Mom!!!
Mom:
What`s the matter?
Ill:
I`ve got a cold, help me!
M:
Oh, I know exactly what can help you! Let`s go to our kitchen and open our
cupboards, there are lots of remedies.
Ill:
Mom, but these are not medicine, these are honey, garlic and lemons.
M:
Exactly, my dear, these will help you! It`s called home remedies because you
can find this medicine at your home and get better soon!
Ill:
Thank you, mom, you are the best!

throat. They are advising people not to visit a doctor to get treatment.
Instead, people who have a cough should drink tea and eat honey.

can find the papers with the unknown words from the text to understand it
better. Now look at the screen and repeat after me these words. (На

what can kill germs? (garlic & honey)

what helps you with a sore throat (honey)

reading the texts look at the screen, we need to complete this table together

sit here, team O – here. How do you play this game, do you know? You should
have all three in a row using given vocabulary.
You
should choose one square and make a sentence to help an ill person. F.ex. the
word “Honey” - people should eat honey if they have a sore throat.
Команды
по очереди составляют предложения-советы больному. (Ученики другой команды
решают правильно или нет составлено предложение, учитель помогает). Если
верно – ставим O|Х. Побеждает
команда, составившая 3 в ряд предложения.

your family if they are ill. Let`s listen to some advice that three children
Sally, Greg and Simon got from their family.

task is to listen to three people and tell us what problems did they have and
what did they do about it.
