Theme: Famous statues.

Objectives:

To talk about some famous statues in UZB – n. The USA and the Uk.

To practise comparing statues usung the superlative to practise talking about a statue  they would like to have using “will” to practise  listening for detailed information to practise writing. A  drescripton of a statue.

Vocabulary: statue, statesman, tabloid, at the foot of, torch.

Teaching material: cards, pictures of statues, books.

Don’t forget their ansectors. Sculptor Ilkhom Jabarov made  the statue of the dreat statesman Amir Temur.

Hasan: It was unveiled in 1993 in the centre of Tashkent.

Rahim: It is made of bronze. It shows Amir Temur in his horse He holds the horse with his left hand and his empty right arm stretches a head.

He has no weapon.

Inobat: “He wishes peace and happiness to all peoples His words strength is in juctice” are Written at the foot of the statue. It will always make our people proud.

“The statue of Liberty”

Doniyor: The statue of Liberty is the largest statue ever made. If stands 93 metres high and weighs 225 tons.  It ’s a stell female figure. The right arm holds u great torch and the left arm holds a tablet with the date of adaption of the Duec laration of Independence. July 4 th.

Bekzod: The statue was designed by Frederic Bartholdi a French sculptor and it was presented to the people of the United states by the people of Franse to remember their friendship on July 4, 1884.

Khosiyat: The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of freedom to millions around the world.

The group “Nelson’s column”

Nasiba: Nelsion’s Column stands in the centre of Trafalgar Square in the very centre of London The statue is of Admiral Viscont Horatio Nelson, a great British Naval Hero It was  paid for by the people of Britain. The statue is made of stone and it stands on a bronze baze at the top of a very high stone column.

Zilola: The four famous lions which guard the foot of the column were added in 1868.
