Цели:1.Развивать
иноязычную языковую компетенцию (способность учащихся использовать полученную
информацию в различных ситуациях).
2.Формировать интерес к культуре англо-говорящих стран
Задачи:
1.Развивать и совершенствовать лексические навыки по теме
«Англо-говорящие страны»
2.Обеспечить дальнейшую тренировку лексики по теме
3.Расширять знания учащихся в области страноведения по теме
«Англо-говорящие страны»
4.Активизировать навыки монологической и диалогической речи
5.Способствовать расширению знаний и представлений школьников об англо-
говорящих странах
6.Прививать любовь к культуре англо-говорящих стран через знакомство с
ними.
Оборудование: интерактивная
доска, презентация, карта мира.
Ход урока
1. Организационный момент
Good
morning, boys and girls!
Today
we shall find out what English- speaking people think about their countries.
And today we’ll l travel to these countries.
2.

We’ll travel to Canada first.
Canada is
the second largest country in the world. Canada's name comes from an Indian
word kanata, which means "village". The first French settlers used
the Indian name for the colony, but the official name was "New
France". When the area came under the British rule in 1897, the new
country was called the Dominion of Canada, or simply Canada. Canada
is a union of ten provinces and two territories.
There are two official languages in the
country: English and French. All Canadian children have to learn both French
and English at school.
The capital of Canada
is Ottawa.
The
next traveling is to the USA.
The United States of America is the fourth largest country in
the world after Russia, Canada and China. It is situated in North America and
is bordered with Canada and Mexico.The USA consists of 50 states and the District
of Columbia which is home to the capital of the country – Washington D.C.
Two states – Alaska and Hawaii – are separated from the mainland. More than 250
million people live in this country. Their national language is English,
although a large part of current American residents are immigrants who speak
their native languages.
And
the last stop is in Australia.
Australia, or the Commonwealth of Australia, as
it is officially called, is situated on the island continent. It is a highly
developed industrial-agrarian country. The capital of Australia
is Canberra, which became the capital only in 1927.
Тhe
country consists of 6 (six) states and 2 (two) territories. 16 million people
live in Australia. The official language is English.
India , officially the Republic of India is a
country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by area, the second-most populous country with over 1.2 billion people, and the most populous democracy in the world
The capital of India is New Delhi. Hindi is the official language in India with the largest number of
speakers. It is the official
language of the union. Native
speakers of Hindi represent about 41% of the Indian population. English is also
used, mostly for business and in the administration. It has the status of a
'subsidiary official language'.
