в 7 классе по теме: «Английский язык – язык мира»
Цель урока: актуализация знаний по теме «Английский язык – язык мира».
- актуализировать материал по теме «Иностранные языки»;
- развивать умения в устной речи, аудировании, чтении;
- развивать общекультурные умения при систематизации и обобщении материала.
Оборудование: компьютер, проектор, презентация к уроку, аудиозапись, видеоролик.
Приветствие: T: Good Day, children, glad to see you. Take your places, please, and begin our lesson. (Дежурные учащиеся начинают урок).
Речевая разминка: How are you today? How did you spend this evening? I hope some of you had to do with preparing for our lesson.
Основная часть урока:
Актуализация лексических навыков.
T. So we begin our lesson with brain storm. Think over and say what your associations with the word «language» are?
T. On the screen we have these words and their definitions. I would like you to match them.
Match the words and their definitions.
Развитие умений в говорении.
T. Now I want you to read the saying on the screen: «Language that came from nowhere to conquer the world…».
- Do you understand it? Can you translate the saying?
-The word “to conquer” is given on the blackboard.
- Can you explain what language is this saying about?
T. Today we are going not only speak English, we are going to speak about English. It is the aim of our lesson.
Do you agree that English has really conquered the world?
P.1 English is the most widespread language in the world and is more widely spoken and written than any other language.
P.2 English is the official language in some countries that means it is used in governments, in schools.
P.3 It is also used to solve different world problems.
T. Can you state that the role of English is great nowadays?
P.4 Yes, we can. We can call it as a mother tongue, an official, an international, a foreign, a modern and widespread language.
T. So, we have proved that English is the world language. (слайд 5)
But there is one more reason why English can also be called the world or international language.

T. I would like you to read the text and try to understand what the text is about. (Распечатки)
Nowadays English has become the world's most important language in politics and science. It is the official language of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, of the United States of America, of Australia and New Zealand. English is used as one of the official languages in Canada, the Republic of South Africa and the Irish Republic.
It is also spoken as a second language by many people in India, Pakistan. The number of second-language speakers may soon exceed the number of native speakers, if it has not done so already. The working languages of the United Nations are English and French. All documents are written only in the working languages. English has become now the language of international communication. At present no other language on Earth is better suited to play the role of world language.
People who speak English fall into one of three groups: those who have learnt it as their native language, those who have learnt it as a second language in a society which is mainly bilingual and those who are force to use it for a practical purpose - professional or educational. Nowadays when science and technology are progressing so fast all kind of specialists need English in their work. (слайд 6)

3. Divide speakers into 3 groups, according to the text.
5.Развитие умений в аудировании.
T. So, we have found out that English is the language of the world and there are many reasons to learn it. Open your books on page 45, exercise 46 and let’s listen to the students talking about their reasons for learning English. Fill in the table and tell us why Michael, Hans, Janis learn English. (Учащиеся слушают аудиозапись о мотивах изучения английского языка некоторыми детьми и заполнят таблицу).
6. Развитие умений в диалогической и монологической речи.
T.I asked you to do some research work and find out why the students of our school learn English. I know you have some videos for us. Are you ready to show them?
P. Yes, we have shot some interviews with the students of some classes. Let’s watch them. (Учащиеся показывают видеоролик).
T. Thanks for your work. It was interesting to learn about the attitude of our pupils to English.
I want you to work in pairs and make predictions for you partner. You will guess why he or she studies English. You are able to see some predictions on the screen. Use tag-questions and follow example: Alex, you learn English, because you want to study abroad, don’t you?
(Учащиеся работают в парах, составляют разделительные вопросы и задают их друг другу).
T. There are different reasons why people all over the world learn English. Let’s find out why you and your friends do it. (Учащиеся говорят о своих мотивах изучения английского языка).
At home you will write a personal letter to you pen-friend about your reasons for learning letters. (Распечатки)
T. Is it difficult to learn English, what do you think? What characteristics should a person have to be successful in learning foreign languages? (Учащиеся говорят о личностных характеристиках, необходимых для изучения иностранных языков).
T. They say there are different ways to learn foreign language. Some people travel and meet English-speaking people; others read English books in the original and watch videos. What is your opinion? Which way is the best? Let’s read the possible ways in ex. 61 on p.47. (Учащиеся выбирают наилучшие, по их мнению, способы изучения иностранных языков).
T. As for me, I think the best way of learning English is going to English-speaking countries and communicating with the English.
7. Заключительный этап.
T. So, our lesson is finishing. We have worked well. We have proved that English is the language of the world, found out the reasons, ways and necessary characteristics for learning English. Your marks are…Thanks for a work, see you next lesson.
