Воспитывать позитивное отношение ко всем стилям музыки, умение уважать точку рения других
Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийная презентация, аудио записи, сигнальные карточки, раздаточный материал, фотографии исполнителей.
I.Организационная часть урока.
T: Dear boys and girls, I am glad to see you again! How are you doing? I hope you are in good mood and we’ll enjoy working together.
2.Сообщение темы и цели урока.
Т: The topic of our lesson is “The World of Music”. Look at the multimedia board. There you can see a chain of words. Try to separate and name them. What are they? So, at our lesson we’re going to talk about different styles of music. You will practice new words, listen to other people’s preferences in music and express your attitude to music. I hope you‘ll learn a lot of interesting facts about various kinds of music. Don’t forget to speak only in English and to do it let’s train our pronunciation.
Listen to the sound of the letter -g- in these words.
T: listen to the announcer and repeat the words after him.
4.Введенния в иностранную атмосферу.
T: Now we are ready to talk and first let’s find out what role music plays in our life and what its aim is.
On the blackboard you can see a charming quotation by a famous American poet Henry Longfello: “Music is the universal language of the world”.
Do you agree with this statement?
How do you understand his words?
Well, we can see that music has a great power.
I wonder when do you usually listen to music?
II. Основная часть урока
1.Актуализация опорных знаний.
At home you were to do some tasks.
T: Group, whose colour is yellow, had to translate the adjectives in the sentences. Read the sentence with help of which you can express your preferences in music.
The music I love is (романтическая).
When I am free I listen to (душевная) music.
The music I hate is (агресивная).
I find classical music (розслабляющая).
I consider rock music (шумной) and (ужасной).
The other task was to make up the sentences with the given words. Please, read your sentences.

And now I’d like you to act out your dialogues. All the others listen attentively and correct mistakes if you hear them.
2.Активизация лексического материала.
T: At the previous lesson we learned some adjectives which we can use to describe music. Let’s revise them. Read after me.
T: We’ve already cleared up that music has a great influence on us. Nevertheless it has both positive and negative influence. Choose the adjectives to describe positive features of music. What about negative ones? Divide them into 2 groups: Pro and Contra.
T: Listen to six extracts. Indentify the style of music and make a Cinquain poetry on one of the style in order to describe it.
3. Музыкальная пауза.
I think you are tired and it’s a time to relax. Some psychologists recommend people listening to the quiet, soft classical music, when they are tired, or if they simply want to sit quietly and relax. Make yourselves comfortably, you may even lay your heads on your desks. . I‘d like you to listen to the nocturne by List. Close your eyes and go into the world of your thoughts and imaginations.
4.Работа с учебником. ( Групповая работа).
T: And now let’s learn some facts about styles of music. You will work in groups. Decide you will be the leader of your group. Now open your books on page 67. Scan the text. How do you think what is this text about? Read and find the information about history, the most famous singers or band and fashion which concern to this style. Discuss the information in your group and then report it to the class, using the following key expressions:
1. Well, our presentation is about …
2. We like / don’t like...because…
3. First, we’re going to say something about….
4. For example, there were …like…
5.Okey, now let’s look at….
6. To finish, our opinion is that….but…..
We’ve already learned some information about three styles of music and now you will listen to two people talking about their musical preferences. Then you are to complete the table with styles and these musicians and singers:

T: Let’s make a written conclusion of the lesson. Complete the column “C” with the information about your musical tastes.
III. Заключительная часть урока.

T: On the next lesson we’ll talk about famous singers, so I want you to prepare a short presentation about your favourite musician. Bring photos and information about those singer you like most of all. It will be home task for all of you.
As for the individual task I’d like to ask the yellow group to create a Cinquai poetry on such styles as “folk “and “heavy metal”.
Beside green group are to make a short presentation on your favourite style of music.
And the task for red group is to write a composition on the topic “Music in my life”.
