I. Цели
урока:
Ø Понимание
схемы политической системы Великобритании
Ø Выучить
и использовать слова, связанные с политикой;
Ø Практиковать
слушание текста с целью извлечения специальной информации

интерес учащихся к изучению иностранного языка
II. Задачи
урока:
Ø
Образовательные: познакомить с основными историческими фактами развития истории страны;
повторение грамматического материала (модальные глаголы: can, could, be able
to), развивать навыки дискуссии о политической системе Великобритании.
Ø
Развивающие: способствовать развитию навыков к репродуктивной и продуктивной речевой
деятельности, оперативной памяти, воображения, объёма памяти через постепенное
увеличение речевых единиц на аудитивной и зрительной основе.
Ø
Воспитательные: воспитание уважительного отношения к истории и культуре страны
изучаемого языка.

III.Vocabulary work – работа со словарем

monarchy, democracy, parliament, politician, a Prime Minister, a minister, a
cabinet, a department, a constitution, an opposition, to coordinate, to control,
policy, ceremonial, the royal assent, a bill- записать слова в тетрадь.
Lawmakers,
the Prime Minister, the members of opposition are involved in different sorts
of activities.- Match the words from the columns and decide what activities
they do. Make the right word combinations.

The lords spiritual are seated to the king's right, the
lords temporal to his left, and in the centre sit the justices and law
officers.
No commons are present at this session.
Ask students: Who rules the country in fact? The monarch
or Parliament?
The Queen is officially the head of all the branches of
government, but she has little direct power in the country.
In fact the real power belongs to Parliament, which makes
laws, and the government, which “executes” laws.
