ХОД УРОКА: Good morning, dear guests.
Today I suggest you to become students and take part in the English lesson in the 9th form.
I am going to show you a set of exercises that a teacher can include not only in one lesson but in some of them in the real school life. The fact is that my students had done all these steps before they were asked to write a personal letter, a short composition and to make a project.
I hope you will be active, helpful and enjoy the time we spend together. There are sheets of paper on your desks. You are to complete them while working at the lesson.
Let’s begin our work. It’s time to speak about the most popular mass media of the 21st century. Today we speak about the Internet.
The Internet has entered our everyday life. Where and why can people use the Internet? Put down all the ideas that come to your mind. (Task 1)
They say the Internet is multifunctional. Do you believe? Let’s find it out. (Task 2)
What do you notice? (выделенные глаголы являются синонимами)
So, we work with different kinds of information. Sometimes it is helpful, sometimes it can be harmful. To use or not to use? What are the positive points? What are the negative points? Optimists will discover the advantages of the Internet, pessimists will discover the disadvantages of the Internet. ( Task 3)
Well, are you going to stop using the Internet now? Just try to complete some advice how to be safe and not addicted to the computer. (Task 4)
I am sure you will follow the advice and use the Internet as a good opportunity to get new knowledge, to create, to travel, to improve your English.
It’s the end of the lesson and time for reflection, students.
We’ve discussed a lot today. What feelings and thoughts do you have now, I wonder.
Please, express your opinions in the sinquain poetry. You know the structure I am sure. ( Task 5)
