Тема урока: Я, моя семья и друзья

Подтема урока: Семейные узы

Цели урока: организовать знакомство учащихся с новыми лексическими единицами (ЛЕ) и автоматизировать действия учеников с новыми ЛЕ, активно использовать лексику в речи в различных коммуникативных ситуациях, повторить употребление going to, Present Continuous; развивать логику (сравнение, умозаключение), языковую культуру, учить критически относиться к своему поведению, критически думать о своих семейных отношениях, уметь находить пути разрешения семейных конфликтов; воспитывать культуру общения (толерантность и уважительное отношение к различным взглядам).

T: Good afternoon, boys and girls! I am glad to see you. Sit down, please. I hope everybody is ready to work. Let’s start our lesson.

T: Today we start to work on the topic “Me, my family and my friends” and we are going to talk about different types of families, about what problems you can face with your parents and how to be a good parents and children.

Marilyn Monroe was an only child from a single-parent family, but she lived with foster parents until she was seven, and then she was adopted by her mother’s best friend. She got married at sixteen, and she got divorced three times.



Bill Clinton’s father died before he was born. His mother, Virginia, had to find a way to support Bill. So she studied nursing, and Bill was brought up by his grandparents. When Bill was four, his mother married Roger Clinton, who became Bill’s stepfather. Roger and Virginia had a son called Roger, who is Bill Clinton’s half-brother.загруженное.jpg

Support sb – help someone live by giving them money, food, or a home

Bring sb up – look after a child and teach them how to live

Stepfather – a man who has married your mother but is not your father (related words: stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, stepsister)

Half-brother, half-sister – a brother or sister who has either the same mother or the same father as you

  • Use (be) going to + infinitive to talk about future plans and predictions.

I’m going to work in the UK for six weeks. (plan)

I think it’s going to rain this afternoon. (prediction)

  • When you use going to go, you can omit to go.

I’m going to go to university next year.

I’m going to go to university next year


Present continuous for future arrangements

I’m seeing some friends tonight.

Is she meeting us at the cinema?

  • You can also use the Present continuous for future arrangements which we have planned for a fixed time or place.

  • Don’t use the present simple for this. NOT I see some friends tonight.

  • The Present continuous is especially common with the expressions tonight, tomorrow, this weekend, etc. and with these verbs go, come, meet, see, leave, and arrive.
