Good afternoon! Sit down, please! Today at the lesson we have some guests. You know the theme of our lesson is Hobby. So we shall speak about your hobbies.

a) Today we are going to have a lesson - competition. We have three teams:
I team - Travellers
II team - Musicians
III team - Sportsmen

Travelers:
I like to travel. Most of all the members of our family. I like to take long walk in the country. Such walks are called hikes. If we want to see the countryside, we have to spend part of our summer holidays on hikes. They are useful for all the members of our family. We take our ruck sacks, we don’t think about tickets, we don’t hurry and we walk a lot. During such hikes we see a lot of interesting places and sometimes we meet interesting people.
I like to travel by car. It is interesting too, because you can see many things in a short time. When we go by car, we don’t need to buy tickets too and we put all the things we need into the car. We don’t carry them.
It is comfortable to travel by train and by plane. When I travel by plane, I don’t spend a lot of time going from one place to another but it is difficult to buy tickets for by plane. That’s why we get our tickets beforehand. I like to fly. If I travel by train or by plane my friends see me off at the railway station or at the airport. Sometimes we go to the seaside for a few days. Usually the weather is fine. It is warm and we can swim. It is a pleasure to watch the white ships.
Musicians:
It is a difficult to live without music. We hear music everywhere: in the street, at home, over the radio and on TV, in shops, in parks, in concert halls, at the seaside and sometimes even in the forest.
We can’t live without music. We like to listen to the music, we enjoy dancing to music and we play musical instruments.
Music is one of the most popular subjects at school. Music teachers tell pupils about famous composers and teach them to sing songs. Pupils prepare concerts for school holidays, learn new songs and play different musical instruments.
Some people are really interested in music. Children can study at music schools if they are capable and fond of music. They study there for seven years. Music reflects people’s mood and emotions. Many people are fond of music. There are numerous folk groups in our country. It is interesting to listen to their music and songs.
I like to listen to songs by our popular singers Shakira and Tarkan. They are talented and skilled singers and composers and I like to go to their concerts. My friends and I buy tickets beforehand and often take flower for our favourite singers.

- Favourite occupations? They are embroidering, dancing and painting. But painting I prefer best of all. And what about you?
-As for me I am fond of music. I like playing the guitar very much.

- Yes, I have. And you? Have you got a hobby?
- Yes, of course. And what is your hobby?
- I enjoy collecting stamps. I have about 100 stamps. What do you like to do in your free time?
- I like swimming, fishing, collecting coins.
5. -What do you prefer doing in your free time, Masha?
- Oh, I like reading. My favourite books are detective stories.And you? Do you have a hobby?
- Yes, I do. My hobby is music. I like rock very much.
6. -Lyuba, What are you fond of doing in your free time?
- Oh, let’s me think. I have many hobbies. They are riding a bike, plaing computer games and playing football.
- Great. And as for me I like making models of ships in my free time.
- It is wonderful.
7.- Have you got a hobby?
- Yes, of course. And you? Have you got a hobby too?
- Well, I have some hobbies. They are reading comics, playing table tennis,
arranging picnics and listening to music.
- And my hobby is watching TV.
