Цель урока: развитие иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции учащихся с элементами рассуждения и обобщения.

Задачи:

Практические:

·         развивать у учащихся умения монологической речи;

·         развивать у учащихся умения понимать иноязычную информацию на слух;

Воспитательные:

·         формировать у учащихся уважение и интерес к культуре других стран;

·         формировать потребность в практическом использовании английского языка в социально-культурной сфере;

·         воспитывать культуру общения.

Развивающие:

·         развивать у учащихся интерес к изучению английского языка;

·         углублять познавательные мотивы;

·         развивать умения описывать, интерпретировать, критически оценивать произведения искусства, выражать свое мнение.

Образовательные:

·         формировать грамматические навыки на материале настоящего совершенного и настоящего совершенного продолженного времени

·         обобщить и расширить знания учащихся праздниках;

·         расширить общий и лингвистический кругозор учащихся.

I.Организационный момент: Introduction. T- be acquainted with the group	Hello! Glad to see you again. I hope you are fine and all are ready to work hard at our lesson? Who is on duty today? Who is absent today? What day is it today? What date is it today? What season is it now? What is the weather like today? Now let’s start our lesson.	2 min

Name all the words in the pictures, take only the first letter of each word and you will read the topic of  today’s lesson. I am sure you know much about celebrations because we already read some information about celebrations in different countries of the world. Answering teacher’s questions Do you like celebrations? It’s the day when you were born and your parents were very happy. It’s really a holiday in every family. T:My favorite celebration is New Year’s Day. And what about you? What holiday do you like most of all? P1 – about your favorite holiday (Splatfest) T: Your favorite celebration is in August. III. Reading skills Work in groups	T: Now  it’s time for reading. You will get some more information about Christmas in the UK.  (Before reading the texts): But, please, look at the screen, there are some words here which will help you to understand the texts better. Where is  this Christmas tree? Look through the text and answer this question         (T →P1, P2)        b)You must read your text and  then answer my questions. Is the task clear? I give you 5 minutes to do the task. CHRISTMAS IN THE UK The 25th of December' is Christmas Day. It's a happy holiday for many people in the UK . Some weeks before Christmas English people are busy People want to buy presents for their family and friends.  Every year there is a very big Christmas tree in the centre of London, in Trafalgar Square. This is a present from the people of Norway to the people of Great Britain. They send it to Londoners every year and Londoners decorate the Christmas tree. In   the   evening   before   Christmas   people   like   to   come   toTrafalgar Square to look at the tree. On Christmas Eve the streets in London are decorated, too. On Christmas Eve people put their presents under the tree. When children go to bed, they put their stockings near their beds. At night Santa Clause comes. He has got a big bag of presents for children. He puts the presents in the children's stockings. . On Christmas people wish their family and friends  a merry Christmas.
