Цель: систематизировать и обобщить знания учащихся по теме «Проблемы молодежи».
- повторить изученную лексику по теме;
- тренировать употребление в речи знакомых лексических единиц и грамматических структур притяжательных местоимений.
Развивающие: умение организовывать свою учебную деятельность, использовать имеющиеся знания, способствовать формированию географической культуры.
Воспитательные: воспитывать чувство любви и уважения к семье, к родителям; развивать интерес к изучаемому предмету.
Тип урока: урок повторения и обобщения.
Форма работы: индивидуальная, фронтальная.
Методы: частично-поисковый, объяснительно-иллюстрированный.
На уроке использованы технологии: развивающего обучения, здоровье сберегающие, информационно-коммуникационные, личностно-ориентированного обучения.
Оборудование: презентация, компьютер, экран, плакаты.

Good morning! I am glad to see you. How are you? Who is absent today?
OK, let’s start our lesson.

Today we shall speak about teenagers. Our theme is “Teenagers: what’s a problem?”

According to “the older generation” teenagers are lazy. They wear ridiculous clothes and are appallingly rude to their betters and elders.
They (teenagers) find to be polite, helpful, constructive, caring or hard-working.
They spend all their time listening awful music and gawping at unsuitable films.
All they ever think about is parties, drugs and sex.
I think teenagers spend a lot of time thinking about their work (studies), their families and friends and their hobbies.

V. Обсуждение проблем, волнующих молодежь
Everyone thinks that youth is the best period in one’s life. But nowadays teenagers live a hard life. They have so many problems. The problems which worry young people most of all are:
finding their niche in life;
planning their future career;

Alcoholism refers to the drinking of alcoholic beverages. It is a disease which is very serious, progressive and irreversible. Alcohol or drinking interferes in an individual’s life – such as work, school, family relationships or personal safety and health. The alcoholic continues to consume alcohol despite the destructive consequences.
There are many reasons why people begin to drink: relief of personal problems; desire to be like the other people or wish to feel something new.
Some people say: “Life is so goddamm short and you might as well have as much fun as you can”. They mean that they should try to take all kids of drugs, sex, alcohol, smoking. Most people begin taking rugs in youth.
But these people don’t think that all those make their life shorter. Drugs cause physical or mental harm to the user. More than that drug addicts are open to HIV infection. HIV attacks selected cells in the immune system and produces defects in function. It leads to a severe suppression of the immune system’s ability and to development of unusual cancers and finally tends to reach certain brain cells.
What should we do to avoid these problems?
I think people can vary their life someone else. For example more travel, often meet with their friends and help other people who really need it.
Our government should pay more attention to the problem of AIDS. Their first step could be taking drastic measures aimed at preventing drug trafficking.
Various educational projects such as “Stop AIDS” should be launched.
School and parents must help children not to get addicted to drugs.
Teenagers should understand that there are a lot of interesting and pleasant things in life. There’s no point in using drugs.
When you leave school you understand that the time to choose your future profession has come. It’s not an easy task to make the right choice of a job. I have known for a long time that leaving school is the beginning of my independent life, the beginning of a far more serious examination of my abilities and character.
I have asked myself a lot of time: “What do I want to be ?” A few years ago it was difficult for me to give a definite answer. As the years passed I changed my mind a lot of time about which science or field of industry to specialize in. It was difficult to make up my mind and choose one of the hundreds jobs to which I might be better suited.
What do you want to be?
Little by little I got interested in the subject (in my profession) and began thinking of car repair as my prospective occupation. For me choosing a career is not only a matter of future prestige and wealth. In my opinion a job should be interesting and socially important. That is the reason why I have chosen the profession of a mechanic.
What qualities should you have?
I think a good mechanic must be active, composed and neat.
What qualities should you not have?
I think a good mechanic must never be inert, narrow-minded, unfair.
