Сценарий внеклассного мероприятия по английскому языку

“Robert Burn’s poetry”

Форма проведения: Литературная гостиная

Цели:

1.Учебные: развитие навыка говорения, стимулирование интереса к изучению культуры страны изучаемого языка, развитие навыка восприятия речи на слух.

2. Развивающие: развивать интеллектуальную, эмоциональную и мотивационную сферы личности учащихся, развитие межкультурной компетенции, совершенствовать навык выступления перед аудиторией.

3.Воспитательная : расширять кругозор и повышать общую культуру учащихся, приобщать к английской поэзии, приобщать к иноязычной культуре.

Оборудование: записи шотландской народной музыки, экран-доска, проектор, ноутбук, портреты Р.Бернса, видео песен на его стихи(отрывки из фильмов),презентации, видео, сопровождающие чтение стихов.

Мероприятие требует предварительной подготовки: учащиеся учат стихотворения наизусть, ведущие отчитывают текст.

P 2: Good afternoon. I’m fine thanks, and you?

P 1: I’m all right. …    what do you  imagine when you hear the word "Scotland"?

P 2: Оh, it's quite easy! The men in tartan kilts, sad and monotonous sounds of bagpipes, gloomy grey castles оп rocks, tasteless oatmeal porridge in the morning, heather moors, mysterious lochs with monsters, steaming haggis. . .

P 1: And, of course, Robert Burns, Scotland's national роеt.

P 1: It’s wonderful. I’d like to visit Scotland and to know  this country.

P 2: Then I invite you to Scotland. Let’s watch.

P 1. Dear guests, pupils and teachers you are welcome to take part in our performance devoted to the Robert Burn’s poetry. 
P 2. Robert Burns is the greatest national poet of Scotland. Today we would have a brief tour of his life and enjoy his beautiful poems and songs. Today we’ll together honor the memory of Robert Burns, the famous poet of Great Britain and  Scotland.

P 1.I’d like to know why Burn’s poetry is so much loved by people?

P 2.Because he wrote simple and beautiful songs, he was a lyrical poet and he could write humorous, ironical  and satirical poems as well.

P 1.He was a poet of brotherhood and friendship .He wanted people all over the world to live in peace. Loved his motherland, and his best-known poem My  heart in the Hightlands

По белому свету судьбою гоним, Навеки останусь я сыном твоим! Прощайте, вершины под кровлей снегов, Прощайте, долины и скаты лугов, Прощайте, поникшие в бездну леса, Прощайте, потоков лесных голоса. P2 – Where we are? 
P1 – We are in Scotland in Alleyway of the eighteenth century.  
P2 –What a strange musical instrument! 
P1- It’s a bagpipe. This is a national musical instrument of Scotland. Bagpipe is a musical instrument played especially in Scotland in which air stored in a bag is forced out through pipes to produce the sounds. 
P2 – look at this man. He is wearing a skirt. 
P1 –It’s a kilt. It’s a skirt with many pressed folds at the back and sides and usually of a tartan pattern. It’s their national costume don’t you know? 
P2 – I’m hungry. It smells delicious! What is the strange meal? 
P1 – Burn’s favorite dish –haggis. .
P1 – Of all dishes Robert Burns preferred Haggis which became the main course of his supper and to which he devoted his greeting words. It’s a national Scotland dish cooked from lamb liver with a lot of fat. It’s eaten with boiled potatoes and turnips. Robert Burns wrote this poem devoted to haggis. 
P2 – I’d like to know more about his life. Who were his parents and where was he born? 
P1 – let’s begin with his birth. Robert Burns was born  in the village of Alloway in 1759.  His parents,  were farmers but they ensured their son received a good education and he began to read. Burns had to work at a variety of labouring jobs, but, in his spare time, began to compose poetry and songs. The first attempt in poetry was in the age of 15. And  one  of the leading topic of his poetry is, of course, love.

P2 In July 1786 at the age of 27 Robert Burns published the Kilmarnock edition that contained almost all his best works. The Kilmarnock volume "Poems: Chiefly in Scottish Dialect” brought him immediate success. All the books were bought up in one/a day. Many peasants and craftsmen read the poems aloud in taverns, made copies. The reasons for his success was that they were written in a Scots dialect.

Об этой девушке босой Я позабыть никак не мог. Казалось, камни мостовой Терзают кожу нежных ног. Такие ножки бы одеть В цветной сафьян или в атлас. Такой бы девушке сидеть В карете, обогнавшей нас! Бежит ручей ее кудрей Льняными кольцами на грудь. А блеск очей во тьме ночей Пловцам указывал бы путь. Красавиц всех затмит она, Хотя ее не знает свет. Она достойна и скромна. Ее милее в мире нет.

P1Success of this publication encouraged Burns to remain in Scotland and he moved to Edinburgh were he became involved in the cultural scene. He was also initiated into the Masons and became the poet laureate of the Edinburgh Freemasons.

P2 Robert was going to marry Jean Armour but her father didn’t want to have a poor farmer for his son- in- law. They were dancing at nights, walking in the hills and valleys of Ayrshire. Inspired by his love Robert wrote many songs and poems. Even letters were written in poetry.

P2 By  the  way,  did  you  know  that the  poetry  of  Robert Burns and  the  translation  by Marshak encouraged some Soviet composers to compose music to films. This  way Robert Burns became the author of songs of  Russian films.

P1 Это стихотворение в переводе Самуила Маршака было положено на музыку и прозвучало в советском фильме «Школьный вальс» По сюжету фильма двое десятиклассников — Гоша и Зося— влюблены и собираются пожениться после окончания школы. Но выпускной вальс Гоша танцует с Диной. На ней он и женится, предав свою первую любовь Зосю, которая ждет ребенка.

P2  Jean and Robert loved each other, they could be happy but they weren’t. Jean’s father didn’t want his daughter to marry him because he was poor, so Robert decided to emigrate to Jamaica.

P1 Эта песня звучит в фильме трижды в фильме «Служебный роман», в исполнении главных героев — Людмилы Прокофьевны и Новосельцева. В самом начале мы слышим сначала ее голос, а потом его. Весь фильм герои ищут того самого «кого-то» — а в финале, найдя, поют уже вдвоем.

P1 Instead of going to Jamaica he went to Edinburgh the capital of Scotland. In Edinburgh he was welcomed as one of the "wonders of the world”. Everybody admired him witty conversation and excellent manners. But soon Edinburgh society grew tired of him and he left the capital and returned to his native village with money enough to buy a farm and marry his lovely Jean Armour. He  devoted her many beautiful poems. 

P2Only after his success in Edinburg Jean’s father agreed with our marriage. They bought a farm and moved there with their two children. Listen to the poem

P1 He  had to work hard on the farm but two years later he got a new job – a tax collector and moved to Dumfries – a small town that he had already visited during his travel all over Scotland in 1787. He got a degree of an honored citizen then. He was quite happy living in this town despite of his illness and a shortage of money. He  was a devoted family man and a father of five children. He  was respected by town people.

P1 Это стихотворение, которое Роберт Бёрнс написал в 1793 году, за два года до смерти, звучит горько: поэт всю жизнь боролся с бедностью. В исполнении Калягина в музыкальной комедии «Здравствуйте, я ваша тетя!» эта песня звучит пародийно-страстно.

P1 – Robert Burns died in poverty at the age of 37 of a heart disease. Jean was left with five children and no money. Over 10.000 people attended his funeral. We glorify and remember the man who called on for brotherhood, friendship, live and freedom. Many monuments to Robert Burns were erected. The most famous are two handsome marble monuments  Dumfries and at Ayr, near the banks of "bonnie Doon”. But cold marble can’t convey the warmth and friendliness of his poems. His real monument is his poetry that will live forever. 

P2.His poems were translated in many languages, in Russian they were translated by Marshak.

P1: Поэзия Р.Бернса проста, мелодична, музыкальна, не случайно в русском переводе многие стихи ложились на музыку. В свое время Д.Шостакович, Г.Свиридов написали музыку на его стихи.

P2В репертуаре А.Градского есть цикл композиций на стихи .Бернса. Одна из них называется «В полях под снегом и дождем»
