Teacher:
Good afternoon, students! I am glad to see you again! Take your seat! The new
school year started . We have to work hard. How are you today? Great!
Teacher:
We have a new text book this year. Before we will start our work we must
understand its structure. This year we will take part in a virtual teenagers’
competition, you will learn about teenager’s problems, people’s way of life in
different countries and we will speak about sport. You should have a textbook,
a workbook, your record book, a vocabulary, a pencil and a pen. I wish you good
luck. I want you to work hard this year.
Teacher:
Let’s remember some English sounds. Look at the cards, please. Listen to me and
repeat after me. Great! Name the sound and read words. Well done!
Teacher: Now,
tell me about your summer vocation.

time to open your text books on page 6. Look at ex. 1. You will read the
advertisement from this exercise and tell us if you want to take part in the Teenager’s
Competition and explain your choice.

Great! As you see, some of pupils in our class would like to take part in the
world teenager’s competition. If you are lucky you will visit English –speaking
countries and make new friends. Tell me, please, do your friends help you in
difficult situations? Do your friends give you advise? Let’s listen to the
dialogues. Try to find the answers to these questions:

combinations. Let’s learn their meaning. Look at ex. 3 p. 7. Read it and try to
guess its meanings.
Teacher:
Great job! Open your Work book. Look at ex. 4 p. 4. Complete the stories of
two boys with the words combinations from the box. Look through this exercise.
You have 2 minutes. Let’s check up your variants. Great!
Teacher:
Now look at ex. 4 p. 7 in your text books. Tell me, please, why would you like
to try your chance in the Teenager’s Competition? Use these phrases.
