Theme: Where’s our car?
Aims: To teach the use of the possessive’s , new words (bottle, camera, frog, home, jungle, people, snake, spider, track, way be carefull, take, little, always.
To teach the names of some animals.
To introduce the present simple
To develop the children’s reading skills
What you need: CD and player
Plan:
I Introduction
Greeting
Hello, hello , hello to you
Hello, hello how are you?
II Warm up
Revision of gr/m Present simple
I’ve got… We’ve got… A car has got rockets.
It hasn’t got eyes… A cat can’t fly. The octopus has got nine arms…
III Presentation
a)New words show students pictures of animals, students repeat after the teacher names a few times ,then repeat yourself
b)Let’s play the game “What is missing”
Pictures put on the Board, ask the children to remember the animals ,the command is given to close your eyes at this time, the teacher removes from the Board one animal , then the command is given to open their eyes and to name an animal that has disappeared, the game continues until students will not name all the animals
IV Practice
a) Listen to the text “Where’s our car?” and follow. Can you find the dangerous animals?(15 min)
b) Children listen to the story twice, stopping after every second picture. Ask the questions.
Where are the two people?(In the jungle) What’s the problem?(They can’t find the way)
Where in the jungle are they?(They’re near the river)How can Leo and Su see them?(They can see them on the computer) Why does Leo say Be careful?(Because they are they are dangerous animals)
How can Leo and Su take the people home?(in the Adventure car) What is the girl’s name? (Paula) What is the boy’s name? (Jim) What have the monkeys got? (Jim’s map and Paula’s camera)
c) work in a small group (Read the story. Look at the words on the board, and see if the children can reconstruct what the children in the story say:
1. telephone in the car two people jungle
2. see the people a river
3. hello be careful dangerous animals
4. over here take you home
5. my name Jim’s map Paula’s camewra
6. Safe our car tracks!
d) Find the things in the pictures in Ex-1.Ask your friend.
e) Sing a song “Little monkey”
f) Write a sentence for the groups of animals.
