Practical using of projects on English lessons”

Aim of the coaching:

to present teachers of different schools a project work through practice

Objectives:

  1. To develop their skills of working on different projects in groups

  2. To present different kinds of projects through practice

  3. To develop their skills of defending their works

Interaction: groups

Resources: different sets of cards, sheets of paper, posters, coloured figures, CD, markers, several sticks of glue, Active board, magnetic board, magnets

The Procedure of the coaching:

Hello everybody! I’m glad to meet you here at my coaching. My name is Alfiya Zhakupovna. I am a teacher from school №66. The theme of today’s coaching is “Practical using of projects on English lessons” The aim of today’s coaching is to present you kinds of projects and to teach you to use different projects in your practice.

  1. And now to begin our work you must know each other in your groups. Then you have 2 minutes to write down the names of your colleagues in your group to do the sum of general age of your group. For example: we are Saltanat Konratbekovna and Alfiya Zhakupovna. We are 86. And I ask you if you are ready clap your hands one time only.

  2. And now we know each other well enough to go on our work. Your mood went up and you must show it to other groups. I’ll give you circles and your task is to write down pro one wish to your colleagues of other group. But you should begin your wish with the verb TO HAVE. You have 2 minutes… Change your cards clockwise. Now your wishes turned into problems. And on the rays of the sun you have got just now you should write down 2 ways of solving these problems.























-Excellent!

-I invite pro 2 teachers from every group one by one with your 2 cards and present us your problem and 2 ways of solving it.

  1. -And now listen to the next text attentively.

One day Bill and John were at home. Suddenly the entrance door slammed and they heard the noise of broken glass. John felt fear in his heart, turned to Bill and saw that he was dead.”

-You should ask special and general questions to know much information about this accident. You must write down pro 1 question on the sticker and fix it on the requered side of the poster.

-And now you have enough questions. I ask you to stick them on the Magic Carpet on the blackboard into necessary columns.

- And can you choose and read me questions I’ll try to answer them.

The answer to this story is:

Bill is a fish. The entrance door slammed, wind from the street broke the aquarium and Bill couldn’t live without water.

  1. The next task will be more difficult than the previous ones. I have a set of cards with different tasks. You should choose one balloon you like, pin it and you get your task. Try to perform it.

  1. You should present us prepositions;

  2. You should present us the ABC;

  3. You should characterize us this toy and write down everything is worth to be spoken: colour, size, material…;

  4. You should write down grammar of all the Simple Tenses, every tense on 1 sheet and collect them into 1 book attaching pages with a stepler. Don’t forget about the cover of the book.

  5. You should make up a dialogue "At the restaurant" and perform it (role-play)

  6. You should make up a crossword using all these words ( bread, beautiful, nuts, sport, ok ). Don’t forget to write down questions to these words or definitions.

You have 8-10 minutes.

  1. All right. And now the scene is yours.

  2. I think that all the groups worked hard and all their works were very interesting. Very nice. Let me introduce you some theory about projects.

VII. That's all. I very want to thank you for your participation and to evaluate my coaching. You may express all your opinions orally and after having got papers with questions to answer them.
