If you live in a big city it seems that you have got more chances to bump into your half as there are so many people around. I don’t think so. I am sure your destiny will find you wherever you are. The main point is if YOU will be ready to meet you destiny.

I studied in a big city. Iwent out of the house the same time every morning and got to the University by underground. It was always overcrowded, annoying and buzzing. I took the train, hid somewhere in the corner and get out of it two stations further. One day I noticed an ugly cap just in front of me. Obviously, I stared at it too long as the mouth under the cap showed me a smile. I didn’t answer hurrying to the exit. On the other day I noticed the cap in the far end of the carriage. It was incredible! I met it almost every morning and even began thinking that the cap was lucky for me to start the day. But then it disappeared. And I was unlucky as failed my exam. I used to look for it in the carriage, but there was none.

One morning I pushed a guy in the carriage, not on purpose, of course. All of a sudden I recognized the owner of the cap. And instead of polite words I asked where his cap was. He asked if I liked it. I said who could like such a stupid-looking cap and got out of the carriage. It was rude and I felt ashamed. The next morning I met him again, he was having the cap on and I made my mind to say sorry. I mumbled some excuses but he stopped me and asked me out. Those days I had a boyfriend. We had decided to get marriage, so I said no without any explanations. I didn’t meet the guy any more.

And I didn’t get marriage. My boyfriend got on with his business partner. She was pretty and lonely. They spent much time together. I broke up with him. I thought he would be upset, but the very next day they moved in. It took me long to get over. After that we met, but we couldn’t make up.

Later on I move back to my native town. I started working for a small company. It was my first day and I was terribly late, so I raised my hand and stopped a car. When I saw a driver I was numb with shock. I bump into the guy I had used to see in the underground. It was unbelievable to meet him! I asked what he was doing in my town. At the same time he asked the same question. On the way we found out that we had lived next door and attended the same school. But we hadn’t noticed each other until the accident with the cap! It was my destiny and by then I was ready.

Конспект выступления

по теме «Работа над типичными ошибками лексико-грамматического раздела ЕГЭ»

учителя английского языка

МОУ СОШ №22

Савостьяновой Юлии Валерьевны.

Все мы, готовя детей к сдаче ЕГЭ, сталкиваемся с тем, что учащиеся совершают типичные ошибки. Назову самые распространенные.

Ошибка№1: невнимание к контексту и отсюда неправильное употребление видовременных форм и страдательного залога;

Ошибка№2: незнание форм неправильных глаголов;

При изучении форм неправильных глаголов полезно объединять их в группы или семьи. Каждой семье мы присваиваем символ и помечаем этим символом неправильные глаголы в словарях. Например, цветочки, сердечки, шарики. Стоит только начать, и дети с интересом подхватывают идею и пополняют семьи новыми неправильными глаголами.

Также помогают стихотворения: Я кирпичик throw-threw-thrown, Он в окошко fly-flew-flown, меня дядя catch-caught-caught, к маме с папой bring-brought-brought.

Ошибка№3: подмена причастия I причастием II или наоборот;

Работу над этим мы видели на уроке.

Ошибка№4: образование от опорных слов однокоренных слов не той части речи, которая требуется по контексту;

С самого раннего возраста необходимо учить детей определять части речи, учить их задавать вопросы к словам в предложениях. При этом на начальном этапе все слова должны быть знакомыми, а в старшей школе - нет. С формированием данного навыка дети 1) знакомятся с порядком слов в предложении, 2) угадывают часть речи, не зная значения тех или иных слов. Такая работа способна предотвратить возможные ошибки.

Ошибка№5: употребление несуществующих слов;

При подготовке к экзамену в старшей школе следует обобщить материал по теме «Словообразование». При этом следует выделить список наиболее употребительных корней в английском языке, таких как help, love, hope, excite и т.д., а затем образовать как можно больше однокоренных слов. Во время работы нужно помнить о правиле: «Не произносить вслух слова, не проконсультировавшись со словарем». Произнеся слово, мы даем ему жизнь, в следующий раз, когда нам нужно сделать подобное, нам кажется, что неверное слово существует.

Ошибка№6: использование не того отрицательного префикса, который употребляется с указанным корнем;

Запутаться в отрицательных приставках легко, поэтому следует больше практиковаться в употреблении подобных слов. Например, possible/impossible.

(Open Close):

проверяется знание частей речи, устойчивых словосочетаний, понимание структуры предложения.

2. Задания на множественный выбор (Multiple Choice):

следует выбрать правильный ответ из предложенных вариантов, уметь определять заведомо неверные варианты ответа.

3. Задания на употребление правильных глагольных форм:

проверяется употребление времен активного и пассивного залога, употребление различных форм глагола.

4. Задания на трансформацию. (Sentence transformation):

Определение структур, проверяемых в задании. Трансформация предложений на основе ключевого слова. Типичное начало предложения. Выражение одной мысли несколькими способами.

5. Задания на словообразование (Word Formation):

проверяется определение частей речи и образование новых слов, умение добавлять суффиксы и приставки.

Поэтому при подготовке к экзамену следует отдать предпочтение учебным пособиям, содержащим упражнения перечисленных видов.

Также к ошибкам приводит:

1) невнимательное прочтение инструкций к заданиям;

2) неправильная организация и распределение времени на экзамене. Дети часто паникуют, тратят много времени на одно упражнение;

Greeting

Good morning, boys and girls, nice to meet you. Let’s begin our lesson. Today we’ll speak about many things: sports and sportsmen, love and dates, feelings and emotions, science; and we’ll revise some Grammar material. My points are so different, but still there’s one thing that combines them all. Guess the theme of our lesson.

A new verb in English

And now I’ll tell you another story. It’s about the mistakes made by the Russian footballer Alexander Kerzhakov during Euro 2012. He aimed many times, and he missed over and over again. He didn’t score even into the empty gates. His misfortunes gave a birth to a new verb in English. Let’s take a look at it.

They listen to the teacher.

On the blackboard “to kerzhakov”

1 min

It means that a footballer threatens the gates from a very short distance but he misses his chance. In this context to score is easier than not to score. This verb really exists in the language! Let’s prove it. Here is the evidence of the fact.

They listen to the teacher.

Tense forms of the verb

We can’t say if the life of the verb “to kerzhakov” will be long in the spoken language, but if it exists, let’s imagine how this verb will be changed in different tense forms.

Make the tasks of the presentation.

Common mistakes in tense forms

We are all people, and we usually make mistakes. It goes without saying that when we act in some new way, we always make mistakes at first. Then we gain the experience, correct our mistakes and become experts. But there are some mistakes which are common for everyone. They are called common mistakes. Here are the examples of common mistakes in English tense forms.

Read the 1st / the 2nd sentence, find the mistake, and correct it. Make the sentence negative; ask a yes/no question, a special question, an alternative question, a disjunctive question.

Read the 3rd sentence, find the mistake, correct it, ask a yes/no question and let your question be negative, a special question, an alternative question, and a disjunctive question.

Read sentences, find mistakes, and correct them. Make sentences negative; ask yes/no questions, special questions, alternative questions, disjunctive questions.

Slide 15

Difference between Ved and Ving

In our exercises we added endings to the verbs “Ved” or “Ving”. We got used to do it. You know sometimes in the language they are not verbs. Do you know the difference between them? It is also a common mistake. Let’s watch a video-lesson.

Watch a video-lesson.

Participle1 and Participle2

Have you caught the difference? In this case the Russian language can help. Here are two questions: “какой?” and “уже какой?” For what forms are they?

Let’s find mistakes in the exercise.

Read sentences, find mistakes, and correct them.

Slide 16

Phrasal verbs

And some more words about verbs, phrasal verbs to be exact. Let’s have a quiz. (Two pupils go to the blackboard, one stands back to the blackboard, another writes a phrasal verb on it. The 1st pupil is to ask the classmates questions about the meaning of the phrasal verb and guess it).

Play the quiz, asking questions about the meaning of the phrasal verbs.

A blackboard.

7 min

Using the phrasal verbs.

Do you know when to use phrasal verbs? If the style of speech is formal, we mustn’t use them. In the oral speech they are preferred. Here I have a story written without phrasal verbs. Your task is to remake it using as many phrasal verbs as you can. The first abstract we’ll do now, the rest of the text is your hometask.

Remake the story using the phrasal verbs.

Papers with a written story.

7 min

Conclusion

Our lesson is coming to the end. In the conclusion I want to ask you some questions.

What is the main part of speech of the lesson?

How can you transform the verb to get other parts of speech?

Is it important to know how to use phrasal verbs?

Who had recognized his own mistakes among the mentioned common? What are they?

I hope you liked the lesson. Thank you for your work. Good bye.
