Explains the task of the activity and checks pupils’ answers


A student will be a reporter and will ask questions. The other students answer the questions of the reporter.

  4. When did his family move to London? – His family moved to London in 1822

  5. What did he do when he was twelve?–He went to work to a factory

  6. When did Charles Dickens begin his career as a writer?- He began his career as a writer in 1837 with “Pickwick Papers”.

  7. Who did he marry?-He married Catherine Hogarth

  8. How many children did he have?-He had nine children

What were some of his stories?- Some of his most famous stories include “Oliver Twist”, “David Copperfield” and a “Christmas Carol”.

10. When did he die?–He died in 1870
