Most countries have become national symbols of fauna. The fact that in ancient times, numerous settlements had their own animal totems and now we can see them as national animals.
For instance, the national animal of Scotland is actually a fictitious creature – The unicorn!

of Australia is Kangaroo
The kangaroo is a recognizable symbol of Australia. Kangaroos have also been featured on coins, most notably the five kangaroos on the Australian one dollar coin.
