Ход урока
1. Организационный
момент
Voice – Dear friends, we
are glad to see you at our international conference “My Future Career”.
Teacher - Today we are
attending an international conference “My future career”. We will talk to your
peers from different countries and we will identify what traits of character
are characteristic of a profession. At the end of this lesson you will be able
to determine what kind of profession suits your character best.
On your desks you can find a brochure with a detailed
plan of the conference. There you will find workshops, activities you are going
to take part in and examples of answers. Please, feel free to ask questions if
something seems confusing.

T – And the first workshop
is - “Getting Acquainted”. On your desks there are badges and nameplates with a
flag. Please fill in the form on the nameplate, and introduce yourself, you may
consult the table with flags on the desk.
So, please, introduce yourself to other participants
of the conference. Example, my name is Svetlana Vyacheslavovna. I’m …years old.
I’m from Russia. I want to be and I am a teacher.

T - Now let’s have a look at
some professions, please, match the pictures to the names of the professions
they depict and to the adjective – traits of character they require.

T – Well done! Now we
are going to talk about your future and your future professions.
We are coming to Workshop 3: Some of the participants
of the conference from some other countries couldn’t come here because several
flights were cancelled. We are going to communicate through the Internet. While
listening to these participants, fill in the gaps within this table (speaker 1
– profession – traits of character). You may consult the text on your desk.
Voice – Attention, please!
All participants of the conference, please, look at the screen!
Video – presentations (4 professions)
T – Now let’s check. Give
your paper to the person sitting on your right. Look at the screen and check
your answers. Correct the mistakes, and give the paper back to the owner.
T – I’ve recently
gotten several e-mails from your peers who are talking about their future
profession. Look through them and choose the most suitable heading for each
speaker. Work in groups of three or four.
So, let’s exchange the answers. Group #1, paragraph #1
– which heading have you chosen? What key words are there?
Group #2, paragraph #2 – what heading have you chosen?
Prove your answer.
T- Well done, now we are
moving to Workshop 3 “Priorities”
There is a table with several questions on your desk. Please,
interview three different people. Ask them what is more important for them.
Let’s listen to the information you received.
Introduce the information to us.
T – And the last
Workshop is “Speaking”. Together with your partner prepare short dialogues on
the topic “My Future Career”, based on the plan in your brochures.
Voice – Dear participants
of the conference. Now you have a chance to talk to each other and find out
what professions are popular in other countries and share your interests.

I hope today you had a chance to analyze your character and now you know what
type of profession suits your character.
