Grammar: review all taught material

The aim of the lesson:

  • ordering and generalisation of knowledge gotten during the 1st half year., skills of pupils.

Lesson tasks:

-the educational tasks:

  • Lexicon repetition on themes: "Colours", "Numbers", “School things”, "Alphabet", "Professions"; to teach to use intersubject knowledge; to promote lexicon expansion.

-the developing tasks:

  • Development of skills of translation from Russian into English and vice versa;

  • To develop attention, memory, logic thinking, a language guess;

  • Development of the communicative competence of pupils.

-the bringing-up tasks:

  • To impart love and interest to a foreign language;

  • To bring up ability to work in pairs, independently;

  • To bring up the valid relation to various kinds of professional work.

The type of the lesson: Lesson of complex application of skills

Kinds of speech activity: speaking, audition, reading and written speech.

Inter-subject connection: practice of speech, practical grammar.

Visual aids: book, cards, text-book, whiteboard.

Teacher (T): Good morning, boys and girls!

Pupils (P): Good morning, dear teacher!

T: I am glad to see you.

P: We are glad to see you too.

T: Sit down, please. I see all are present today, it is very good.

P1: Yes, all are present.

T: How are you today?

P2: I am fine. Thanks. And you?

T: Today we have unusual lesson. Look at the blackboard. As you can see we’ll have many different subjects during our lesson. And I hope you’ll show me all your knowledge. At this lesson we’ll try to revise our grammar and lexical materials. Let’s start our lesson.

II.Warm-up (Работа идет в режиме Т-Р1-Р2 )with cards Sponge Bob

P1: I’m 10.

P1: We have English, Math, Physics and Russian.etc.

T: Thank you. Well done! Today is Suturday and we have seven lessons. Look at the blackboard. This is our time-table. What lessons will we have?

  4. English,

  5. Auding

  6. Music,

  7. Art.

T: (Звенит колокольчик.) The bell has gone. Let’s start our first lesson – Spelling. In this lesson we revise our English alphabet. (Алфавит повторяем в следующем порядке:

а) ABC song

Aa-Bb-Cc-Dd-Ee-Ff-Gg

Hh-Ii-Jj-Kk-Ll-Mm-Nn-Oo-Pp

Qq-Rr-Ss, Tt-Uu-Vv

б) заполняют пропущенные буквы алфавита карточки с птицами Р1, Р2 и т.д.)

T: Please, fill out missing letters

с) T: Spell these words: (Учащимся показываются карточки с английскими словами.) map, flag, pen, girl, boy, onion, tomato, carrot, purple.

d) Look at the blackboard, please and fill in the missing letters in the words and translate them.

(К доске по очереди выходят учащиеся переворачивают карточку и заполняют пропущенные буквы)

T: (Звенит колокольчик.) The first lesson is over. And we begin our second lesson – Math. At this lesson we’ll know how well you know English numbers.

  1. Look at your sheet of paper which I gave you. You can see two animals. Jod the point and you’ll know what animals they are. (Учащиеся соединяют числительные и находят на рисунке кошку или собаку. См. рисунок № 1) Excellent! What are their names?

P1: The cat’s name is Cleo and the dog’s name is Big Ben.

T: We work very hard and we are tired. So we have the fourth lesson – Sport. Stand up! Let’s do some Pinguin dance exercises.

Put your hands up in the air and shake your booties round
Hand up on your toes and turn around around
Hands way up high, hands way down low
Stamp with your feet and jump, jump, jump

T: This lesson is over. And we have English lesson now. (Work in 3 groups)

  1. Review turns of speech there are, there is.

-Let’s divide into 3 groups. It’s time for the animal train. You should write sentences. Pay attention to order in sentences. When you are ready with writing, Place these animals according to the text.

2) Review of Present Simple Tense. Write sentences.

T: Thank you everybody. Our English Lesson is over. And the bell is ringing for the next lesson – Literature. (Звенит колокольчик). Now look at these two pictures. In these pictures you can see two girls and short information about them. Listen to me very attentively and then tell me please about what this text is. Are you ready? (см. рисунок № 2)

T: Yes, you are right. Try to answer my questions about the girl. What’s her name? How old is she? What’s her telephone number? What’s her favourite subject at school? What’s her hobby? Where does she live? What’s her favourite sport?

Great! You know all information about Mary. Try to retell the text using the information from the picture. (Опрашивается один из учащихся, опорой для пересказа является информация на картинке.)

T: Thank you everybody. Our Literature lesson is over. And the bell is ringing for the next lesson – Music. (Звенит колокольчик). Let’s sing “Jingle bells”. Are you ready?

T: Everybody was very active today. And we have done much work during our lesson. Thank you for the lesson and your excellent work. Write down your home task. Read and translate the text “Under the sea” and learn new words.

A red apple: the information is interesting, there are no problems, easy to understand A green apple: the information is interesting, there are some problems to use it in practice. A yellow apple: the information is difficult to understand, there are problems to use it in practice.

Т: Now we can see the result of our lesson. We have so many red apples, that's why I can say we have spent our time usefully. Thank you for your work. You’ve worked hardly today. I’m very satisfied. Your marks are….. I wish you all the best. Stand up! The lesson is over. Have a rest. Goodbye. See you next lesson.
