Ken had a very bad day yesterday. What did he say to his friend Lizzy about it? At 7 o’clock Ken was in the shower. His mother wanted to speak to him on the phone. He spoke to his mother and went to his bedroom to dress. Example: I was taking a shower when my mother called.
He began to dress. His neighbour came. The neighbour asked some questions about Ken’s garden. The neighbour left. I was dressing, when my neighbour came.
Ken went to the kitchen to have a cup of tea. His friend came. He asked for some money. Ken gave him the money. I was having a cup of tea when my friend came to ask for some money.
Ken went to the garage to get out the car. A policeman stopped him. The policeman asked Ken if the neighbour’s dog was any problem. Ken said that it wasn’t. I was going to the garage when the policeman stopped me.
Ken drove to Lizzy’s house. His car stopped in the middle of the road. Ken left the car at the service station and took a bus. I was driving to your house when my car stopped.
He was on the bus. It began raining. The bus stopped. Ken got out. He stood at the bus stop because he didn’t have an umbrella(зонт). When Ken came to Lizzy’s place, he was very late and Lizzy was angry. It was raining when I got out .

Особенность заключается в более полном осознании коммуникативной значимости времен в актуализации темы «процессуальность» (незавершенность) действия ( Continuous )Поэтому, для употребления этого времеми в устной и письменной речи, необходимо не только познакомиться с образованием, но и запомнить случаи его употребления.
В презентации много тренировочных упражнений на отработку этих времен.
Перед тем, как учащиеся приступают к выполнению упражнения, учитель снимает возможные лексические трудности и напоминает значения слов беспереводным способом с использованием наглядного материала.
