–In the film you can see a lot
of symbols, things and words, which are connected with our holiday. Look at
the pictures. And tell me what they are?
- Mrs. Claus likes to read
very much. Yesterday she bought a Christmas newspaper. She read, read and
found her favorite page with puzzle. Let’s help her to do it.
– Mrs. Claus continued to read
and found some missing letters in the words. She asked us to fill in the gaps
and then read and translate the words: winter, snowman, turkey, pudding,
stockings, cards, presents, angels, letter.
– The Christmas newspaper is
very interesting. Mrs. Claus turned the page and saw Santa Claus, an elf,
a reindeer, a sleigh. Now try to describe the following Christmas symbols:
Santa Claus (he is a fictional character of the Christmas and winter seasons. He is shown as a fat
man with a white beard and red suit. He lives at the North Pole, rides a
sleigh pulled by reindeer, enters homes of good children to deliver toys.),
the elves (they are known to be tiny male or female, with pointed
ears. They are youthful but immortal and have magical powers. Their abodes
are said to be underground, in forests but no one really knows about it because
they keep their location a secret.), a
reindeer (it is a fictional male animal with a red nose, popularly known as
"Santa's animal." When depicted, he is the lead
animal pulling Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve.) And you’ll
guess.
