I. Warm up. Brainstorming.
Teacher has prepared some shopping lists.
Shopping list № 1. Shopping list № 2. Shopping list № 3.
Apple. Apple. Apple.
Orange. Orange. Orange.
II. The role playing «At the shop».
Shop assistant: Hello!
Shop assistant: What do you want?
Customer: Give me an apple, an orange and a cola, please!
Shop assistant: Two hundred tenge. Here it is.
Customer: Thank you.
Shop assistant: Good bye!
Customer: Good bye!
III. Describing the baskets.
Students describe purchases in the baskets.
S-1 (S-2, S-3) has an apple (orange).
S-1 (S-2, S-3) doesn’t have a banana.
S-1 has a cola.
S-2 (S-3) doesn’t have a cola.
IV. Presentation of the grammar «Everybody, nobody, somebody».
Teacher asks the questions, students answer.
T: Who has an apple?
S: Asset (Dina, Sveta) has an apple.
T: Everybody has an apple.
T: Who doesn’t have a banana?
S: Asset (Dina, Sveta) doesn’t have a banana?
T: Nobody has a banana.
T: Who has a cola?
S: Asset has a cola.
T: Somebody has a cola.
V. Listening, reading a text. (Way Ahead-4. Pupil’s book, page 43, exercise 1)
Students listen to the text, read the text and answer the questions.
VI. Presentation of the grammar in Past Simple «Everybody had a picnic».
Teacher asks the questions according to the text, students answer the questions.
T: Who had a picnic?
S: Everybody had a picnic.
T: Who didn’t have a fizzy drink?
S: Nobody had a fizzy drink.
T: Who had some crisps?
S: Somebody had some crisps.
VII. Listening and singing a song «Banana».
VIII. Revision of the grammar “Modals”.
T: Look an apple! Is it good for our teeth? Should we eat apples?
S: Yes, it is. Yes, we should.
T: Should we drink a cola?
S: No, we shouldn’t.
IX. Presentation of the questions.
Teacher writes questions and answers on the board:
Did anybody have a drink? Yes, everybody did.
Did anybody have an apple? No, nobody did.
X. Pair working.
Students work in pairs. They ask and answer the questions in pairs.
XI. Individual work in Workbooks. (Page 45, exercise 2).
XII. Home task. (WB ex.1 p.45)
XIII. Reflection. The result of the lesson.
Teacher gives marks with comments. Students take one leaf on the board which they like the best and write their impression according to the lesson.
