Данная разработка урока английского языка с использованием мультимедийной презентации в редакторе Microsoft Power Point “Sport in my life” разработан по УМК К.И.Кауфман, М.Ю.Кауфман “Happy English.ru - 7”.

Работа предназначена для учащихся 7-х классов, направлена на развитие и совершенствование устной речи по теме “Спорт» и может быть использована на обобщающих уроках по теме «Спорт» для учащихся 7-9 классов, изучающих английский язык по любому УМК.

Цель урока:

Обобщение и систематизация знаний по теме «Спорт».

Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

— тренировать и закреплять в речи учащихся лексические единицы по теме;

— познакомить учащихся с различными видами спорта,включая зимние и летние виды спорта в Великобритании;

— познакомить с символикой 22 зимних Олимпийских игр в Сочи;

— формировать речевые навыки, обеспечивающие познавательно-коммуникативные потребности учащихся;

— активизировать употребление ранее изученной лексики,

— расширять словарный запас учащихся,а так же их знания о значимости спорта в жизни человека.

Развивающие:

— развивать языковые способности и устойчивый интерес к изучению английского языка;

— расширять кругозор обучающихся при помощи мультимедийных средств, информации из Интернета;

— развивать практические умения при работе в группе,

— развивать творческий потенциал учащихся,основанный на самостоятельной проработке материала.

Воспитательные:

— способствовать воспитанию толерантного отношения к спорту,

— воспитывать чувство гордости учеников за достижения спортсменов своей страны,

— способствовать воспитанию сотрудничества при коллективной работе;

— способствовать обогащению внутреннего мира учащихся.

Актуальность и целесообразность использования медиапродукта:

— интенсификация учебно-воспитательного процесса (увеличение количества предлагаемой информации, эффективность выполнения упражнений увеличивается в несколько раз)

— повышение эффективности усвоения учебного материала за счет одновременного изложения учителем необходимых сведений и показа демонстрационных фрагментов (подача материала двумя способами: аудиально и визуально);

Форма обучения направлена на практическую подготовленность учащихся: владение английским языком в речи.

Развитие компетентностей:

— готовность к самообразованию;

— информационная;

— коммуникативная.

— Необходимое оборудование и материалы для занятия – операционная среда – Microsoft Windows XP, презентация к уроку, карточки на каждого ученика для групповой работы и чтения.

Ход урока.

Организационный момент. Приветствие. (слайд №1)

Рапорт замкомвзвода (строит подгруппу, рапортует,кто присутствует,кто отсутствует)

- Good morning, boys!

We are glad to see you!

- I’m glad to see you,too. Welcome to English lesson! How are you today?

- Fine, thanks.And how are you?

- I`m OK ,thanks. If you are ready, let’s begin our lesson. Take your seats,please.

Фонетическая зарядка. Мотивация. Объявление темы урока.

- Today we are going to have a very interesting lesson.

At the beginning of our lesson let’s do this exercise.Look at the board ,please. (слайд №2 )

Now think and answer: what is this lesson about? What is the topic of our lesson ? (Ответы учащихся).

You are right. We continue our work at the theme “Sport”.(слайд №3) Today we’ll revise the material of previous lessons, speak about sport in your life and find out new information.

Name these sports and games. (слайд №4)

Football,badminton,basketball,ice-hockey,boxing,gymnastics,tennis,volleyball,skiing,hockey.

- Thousands years ago ancient Greeks said: “A sound mind is in a sound body.(слайд №5 )

Millions of people who go in for sports know from their own experience that this famous saying is true.

At the same time a great number of people don’t go in for sports. Some of them realize that sport is useful but prefer watching sport on TV to going in for it themselves.

Now I’d like to ask you some questions about sport and sport activities

(слайд №6 ) (Индивидуальные ответы учащихся).

Групповая работа. “Любимый вид спорта”

- Now I know that all of you like sport and I’d like to find out the favourite kind of sport in your group. Interview your classmates,please and complete the table.Then report me the results. Use the model:

(Учащиеся получают карточки с таблицей. В верхней строке учащиеся записывают имена участников своей группы. В беседе выявляют любимый вид спорта и отмечают в таблице. По образцу представитель от каждой группы сообщает о любимом виде спорта.)

- Now let's read the text about summer and winter kinds of sport.

Summer and winter sports in Great Britain.

The most popular outdoor winter sports are shooting, skating and tobogganing. Summer afford excellent opportunities for boating, yachting, surfing, rugby, football and other sports. All the year round many people indulge wrestling, aerobics, fitness training, athletics, weight training and track and field events. Among indoor games which one can go in for all the year round are billiards, ping-pong, bowling, draughts and squash. So we have all grounds to say that sport is one of the things that makes people kin.

- Can you understand the text and translate it?

PP.: No.

- Why?

PP.: Many words are unknown.

- So let's find out the meaning of these words.(слайд №9)

- Millions of people all over the world are fond of sports and games. Sport helps people to stay in good shape, helps to support health and prevents from illness. Sport makes them more organized and better disciplined in their daily activities.

We've always paid great attention to sport in our schools, colleges and universities. You can hardly find a school without a gym or a sports ground. Every city and town has a few stadiums or swimming pools where local competitions are usually held.

There are different sporting societies and clubs in Russia. Many of them take part in different international tournaments and are known all over the world. A great number of world records have been set by Russian sportsmen. Our sportsmen also win a lot of gold, silver and bronze medals in the Olympic Games.

T: You know that all Olympic Games have their own symbols. (Слайд №11) What symbols do you know?

T: What do you know about them?

P₃: I want to tell you some words about rings. (Слайд №14)

There are five of them. They are blue, black, red, yellow and green. Every rings stands for one of the five continents. Although there are seven continents, Antarctica is excluded and North America and South America are considered one. The connection of the rings symbolizes the connection of the continents during the Games and the ideal of peace and brotherhood of the whole planet.

T: Good. All athletes try to set records. What are the Olympic awards? What do the winners of the Olympic Games receive?

P₁: Olympic awards are medals. (слайд №15)

P₂: The first place winner receives a gold medal, the second place winner receives a silver medal and the third place winner receives a bronze medal.

T: Let’s work in 2 groups. In your small puzzle, write the letters in the boxes and make a word.

- We are very proud of this Russian city. The 22^nd Winter Olympic Games were held there. Our sportsmen take first places in some competitions during the Olympic Games in Sochi. (слайд №17)

Рефлексия. Обучение монологической речи.

( I ) - Many people like sport. But a great number of people don’t go in for sports. Are you good or against sport? Let’s divide in two groups. The 1^st group will think and tell us about good sides of sport, another one – about bad sides of sport. (cлайд №22). Ответы учащихся:

Sport is good because

It makes me strong and fast

It helps me to keep fit

It builds character

It teachers me to win and to lose

It’s very good for my heart

We enjoy it

Sport helps people to stay in good shape, helps to support health and prevents from illness.

Sport is bad because

It’s not very useful.

It takes a lot of energy and time.

We have no time to walk with friends

It needs to work very hard.

We can break legs and arms.

- So good sides more than bad sides.

- Your speaking was brilliant. Now you can have a talk about sport. I’d like you to write about it. Your hometask will be to do a project “Popular sports in Great Britain”. You must do some research and find out:

What kinds of sports are popular in Great Britain?

Describe one of these sports using the plan:

name, history, equipment, manner of play, tournaments, and greatest sportsmen.
