Урок – путешествие по Великобритании

8 класс

Цели урока:

  1. Развивающая – развивать интерес к стране изучаемого языка.

  2. Обучающая – практиковать в аудировании текстов по теме «Путешествие», практиковать в устной речи, а именно в ведении диалога по заданной ситуации, совершенствование речевых навыков  (диалогическая, монологическая форма), обучение аудированию с целью понимания общего содержания после прослушивания информации; активизировать в речи употребление условных предложений, активизация лексических навыков по теме.

  3. Воспитательная – воспитать уважение к культуре страны изучаемого языка, а также к культуре своей страны.


Оснащение урока:

компьютер;

презентация;

раздаточный материал (Tourist Guide);

карта Соединенного Королевства; карта Лондона.


План урока.

  1. Оргмомент, приветствие.

  2. Введение в тему. Диалоги по схеме учитель-ученик.

  3. Аудирование. Работа в малых группах.

  4. Практика использования вопросительного предложения. Работа в форме: вопрос-ответ, учитель-ученик.

  5. Разминка «Что вы знаете о Великобритании?»

  6. Закрепление грамматического материала .

  7. Применение знаний в практических ситуациях, приближенных к жизни.

  8. Работа в парах – диалоги по заданной ситуации.

  9. Работа в парах – обсуждение прочитанной информации.

  10. Работа по карте «Достопримечательности Лондона».

  11. Итоги урока

  1. Приветствие. Teacher: Good morning! Nice to see you. Were going to have an interesting and useful lesson

  2. Введение в тему.

Teacher: How do people spend their holidays?

Как люди проводят свой отпуск?

Pupil: Millions of people all over the world spend their holidays travelling.

Teacher: What purpose do people travel? С какой целью люди путешествуют?

Pupil: They travel to see other countries and continents, modern cities and the ruins of ancient towns, they travel to enjoy picturesque places, or just for a change of scene. It is always interesting to discover new things, different ways of life, to meet different people, to try different food, to listen to different musical rhythms.

Teacher: What places do the country people like to visit?

Какие места любят посещать сельские жители?

Pupil: Those who live in the country like to go to a big city and spend their time visiting museums and art galleries, looking at shop windows and dining at exotic restaurants.

Teacher: What places do the city people like to visit?

Какие места любят посещать городские жители?

Pupil: City peole usually like a quiet holiday by the sea or in the mountains, with nothing to do but walk and bathe and lie in the sun.

Teacher: Pack the suitcase. What things must we take with us?

Pupil: We take a sport suit, dress, souvenirs, comfortable shoes, a map of landmarks of England, a camera, tickets, medications, a documentation.

Most travellers and holiday-makers take a camera with them and take pictures of everything that interests them — the sights of a city, old churches and castles, views of mountains, lakes, valleys, plains, waterfalls, forests, different kinds of trees, flowers and plants, animals and birds.

Teacher: Why do people like photos?

Pupil: Later, perhaps years later, the photos will remind them of the happy time they once had.

What type of transport do you choose to travel ?

Teacher: Какой вид транспорта вы выбираете для путешествия ?

People travel by train, by plane, by boat, and by car. All ways of travelling have their advantages and disadvantages. And people choose one according to their plans and destinations.

Teacher: The best way to study geography and learn the customs of other Nations.

Лучший способ изучить географию и узнать обычаи других народов.

Pupil: If we are fond of travelling, we see and learn a lot of things that we can never see or learn at home, though we may read about them in books and newspapers and see pictures of them on TV. The best way to study geography is to travel, and the best way to get to know and understand people is to meet them in their own homes.

3.Аудирование. Работа в малых группах. Учащиеся объединяются в группы, получают задания в конвертах. Это аудиозаписи бывалых путешественников. Ученики, прослушав письма, должны объяснить, As English people sayA picture is worth a thousand words.

Travelling is very popular nowadays. A lot of people travel to different countries if they have such opportunity. Travelling allows you to get interesting experience, learn about people’s life in other countries and continents. I think it is very interesting to discover new things, new places and different ways of life. While on travel, you meet new people, try different meals; see world famous places with your own eyes.

2 группа

These are many ways of traveling – by train, by plain, by ship, on foot. If you want to visit a far country, you’ll definitely choose a flight. If your aim is to see many countries for a short time, you’ll choose travelling by bus or by car. If you want to be closer to nature, you may choose a trip on foot.

3 группа

Lots of people nowadays live in big cities. So it’s natural that they want to have a holiday by the sea or in the mountains with nothing to do but relaxing. There is other sort of travellers. They want to visit as many countries as possible. So after exploring Europe and North America they go to exotic countries.

4 группа

People who travel a lot, are very interesting, they always have a good story to tell. Thanks to them you can learn many things which you didn’t know before. They motivate to see something new, to explore the world, which is so easy to do nowadays. Any kind of travel helps you to understand many things that you would never see or learn at home.

6. Закрепление грамматического материала. Вставьте пропущенные слова в диалог.

In a foreign country you wait a different situation. Be ready for it.

Teacher: Let’s test our speech skills. You’ll act the dialogues as if you are in different situations. Don’t forget to use phrases of spoken etiquette.

Situation 1. You’ve landed in Gr.Br. You are at the airport and you want to have your luggage transported to the hotel.

Situation 2. You want to go to Piccadilly Circus. Ask a woman how you can get there.

Situation 3. You are at a café. Ask for the menu.

Situation 4. You are an English student. Address your teacher and ask him to help you with the text.

Situation 5. You want to go to London zoo, but you don’t know how to get there. You decide to take a taxi. Для того, чтобы обыграть предложенные ситуации, ученики получают карточки со словами и распространёнными по данной теме словесными оборотами.

Where to go and what to see in Great Britain:

  1. Stonehenge – one of the most famous and mysterious archaeological sites.

  2. Loch Ness – one of the lakes in Scotland where according to the legend a large monster lives.

  3. The lake District – the largest National Park in England.

  4. Longleat – Britain’s first Safari Park famous for its exotic animals the world’s Maze (лабиринт).

  5. Oxford, Cambridge – the oldest English universities.

  6. Buckingham Palace – the London residence of the Queen.

  7. St Paul’s Cathedral – Church of English.
