с презентацией Презентация основных достопримечательностей Австралии
Travel agency «Captain Nemo»
1) Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef of Australia is the world's largest barrier reef. It
comprises a system of coral reefs and islands that stretch more than 2.300 kilometers
(about 1.400 miles) among Australia's shore. An almost continuous line of
breakers marks the location of the outer reefs, which line the rim of the
continental shelf. Between the outer reefs and the beach are many crescent- or
horseshoe-shaped inner reefs. The clear, warm, shallow waters of the Coral sea
provide ideal conditions for the corals and algae that make up the reef, and
for the extraordinary diverse marine life related to the reef system. The small
islands that top some of the inner reefs are stabilized by vegetation growth.
Many have been made national parks, and some of the reefs are marine national
parks.
The Great Barrier Reef is one of the seven wonders of the natural world, and
pulling away from it, and viewing it from a greater distance, you can
understand why. It is larger than the Great Wall of China and the only living
thing on earth visit. The reef, between 15 kilometers and 150 kilometers off
shore and around 65 Km wide in some parts, is a gathering of brilliant, vivid
coral providing divers with the most spectacular underwater experience
imaginable from space.
2) Aeyrs Rock(
Uluru)
In
the center of Australia is a giant rock formation Ayers Rock, which is one of
the oldest sections of the earth's crust on our planet. At its base there are
many caves with ancient rock paintings. Mount Ayers Rock is the most famous
symbol of Australia. The height of this impressive massif reaches 348 m, length
- more than 3.5 km, and width - 3 km. The slopes of Mount Ayers Rock are almost
sheer. The opportunity for tourists to get to this attraction in Australia appeared
only in 1950, after the construction of the highway was completed. Officially,
Ayers Rock belongs to the Anangu tribe, who call this mountain Uluru.
Aboriginal people consider it sacred, therefore they don’t welcome tourists who
ascend to it too much. Aborigines associate many legends with Uluru. One of
them says that Uluru was created in antiquity by the giants, and communication
with this mountain gives a person a special power.
The unique rock consists of red sandstone - a mineral that has special
properties due to which the rock changes its color depending on the lighting.
At dawn, the silhouette of the mountain takes on a dark purple color. In the
afternoon, illuminated by the bright sun, Uluru becomes purple-red or flashes
pink. It becomes golden by noon. You can photograph the rock endlessly, and in
every picture you get real Martian postcards, looking at which it is hard to
believe that these bright colors are just the result of its unique mineral
composition.
The first tourists appeared here only in 1950. Today, a unique rock is visited
by up to 0.5 million people per year.
3)
The Sydney Opera House.
It is almost impossible to write of the Arts in Australia without mentioning the building thatfirst put the country firmly on the world cultural map - the Sydney Opera House.
Completed in 1973 after 14 years of much heated discussion and at a cost of almost £60million, it is not only the most wellknown Australian building in the world but perhaps 5the most famous design of any modern building anywhere.
Its distinctive and highly original shape has been likened to everything from the sails of asailing ship to broken eggshells, but few would argue with the claim that the Opera Houseis a major contribution to world architecture.Set amidst the graceful splendour of SydneyHarbour, presiding like a queen over the bustle and brashness of a modem city striving toforge a financial reputation in a tough commercial world, it is a reminder to all Australiansof their deep and abiding love of all things cultural.
The Opera House was designed not by an Australian but by a celebrated Danish architect, Jom Utzon, whose design won an international competition in the late 1950s.However, itwas not, in fact, completed to his original specifications.
Plans for much of the intendedinterior design of the building have only recently been discovered.
Sadly, the StateGovernment of the day interfered with Utzon’s plans because of concerns about theescalating cost, though this was hardly surprising the building was originally expected tocost only £5.5 million. Utzon left the country before completing the project and in a fit ofanger vowed never to return. The project was eventually paid for by a State-run lottery.
The size of the interior of the building was scaled down appreciably by a team of architectswhose job it was to finish construction within a restricted budget.
Rehearsal rooms andother facilities for the various theatres within the complex were either made considerablysmaller or cut out altogether, and some artists have complained bitterly about them eversince.
The Queen officially opened the building in 1975 and since then, within itscurved and twisted walls, audiences of all nationalities have been quick to acclaim themany world-class performances of stars from the Australian opera, ballet and theatre.
4) Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road is a landmark in the Australian state of Victoria, which
attracts tourists with its unique views, places, tropical flora and fauna. The
243 km long highway runs from Torquay to Allansford along the entire
southeastern part of the mainland. A journey through it resembles the final
shots of films when the main characters leave to meet the sunset. The road
mainly runs along the coast, but also the highway bends deep into the mainland,
where it passes through vineyards and rain forest with a complex longline
structure, large species richness of woody plants, epiphytes and lianas. From
time to time the highway becomes very narrow, from one side steep cliffs, which
now and then have to bend around, come up to it. Fortunately, there are many places
where you can stop the car and get out to admire the amazing views.
The highway runs along the coast of Port Camp Bell National Park, along the
so-called Shipwreck Coast, Otway National Forest and Angaghaok-Lorne National
Park, where giant blue eucalyptus trees grow. The idea to build the Great Ocean
Road was visited by engineers and architects in 1864 was implemented a little
later. As part of the program to create new jobs and in memory of the soldiers
who died in the First World War, in 1919, the military began to build this
unique highway. Today, the track is the most magnificent monument associated
with military operations in the world.
5) Harbour
Bridge
It is
the biggest bridge in Sydney. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is a steel through arch
bridge across Sydney Harbour that carries rail, vehicular, bicycle, and
pedestrian traffic between the Sydney central business district (CBD) and the
North Shore. The dramatic view of the bridge, the harbour, and the nearby
Sydney Opera House is an iconic image of Sydney, and Australia. The bridge is
nicknamed "The Coathanger" because of its arch-based design
6) Kakadu National
Park
Kakadu National Park is located
171 kilometers from the city of Darwin. This park has an area of 19,804 square
kilometers. Kakadu National Park is the largest national park in Australia. It
is extending from the mountains to the coast. Inside, there is a landscape that
consists of slopes, wetlands, cascading waterfalls, abundant bird species as
well as the rich history of Aboriginal culture.
With an area of almost 20,000 square
kilometers, Kakadu National Park has become a natural habitat for a variety of
plants and animals endemic and rare in Australia. Some rare endemic plants that
can only be found here for example is Eucalyptus koolpinensis.
Here, you can find various types of water lily plants are beautiful, like a
water lily blue, yellow, and white snow. The national park is also home to
endemic species such as the black wallaroos,
kangaroo Antilopine, rock-wallaby with short ears, a black neck crane, and much
more. Not only that, this area has also been inhabited by a
traditional population of Bininj Mungguy for more than 50
thousand years. This makes this park as one of the world heritage sites.
Different season, panorama presented will
also be different. Here you can enjoy the view of the close, in the course of
travel bushland, lakes or rivers. Enjoy views of the
beautiful lotus flower to prehistoric crocodiles. Believe me, Kakadu National
Park is full of treasures waiting for you to explore!
The charm and uniqueness of Kakadu as an
ancient cultural heritage has been recognized worldwide. Since 1981, this place
has been listed as World Heritage. Then in 2011, Koongarra also included within
the Kakadu National Park. Extensive areas of the largest National Parks in
Australia are expected to protect the value of culture
and heritage. So that it can continue to be enjoyed by future generations.
