ESL listening lab is a content rich site designed for students of all levels. I
have found lots of useful listening tasks for me. They deal with intercultural
communication, cultural shock, geography, ecological issues, learning
languages, news reports, etc. The range of topics will be interesting and
useful because they deal with students’ life, traveling, shopping, sports, etc.

The site contains many useful ready to use materials from
theory to practice:

of sounds, examples of connected speech, voicing, etc. I enjoyed taking
interactive quizzes which test knowledge and help to learn. There is also a
great video by “The Teacher” who becomes Dickens and takes us on a trip through
London and teaches some expressions. I also found a great choice of grammar
quizzes and there is a pronunciation practice among them with question tags.
There are several listening activities with gapped scripts with a focus on
features of connected speech.

The Word Master allows us to learn
lots of words by playing the game. A player can listen to the sentences thus
practicing listening and pronunciation as well. There several podcasts that can
