(born June 1957) is a British sculptor from Ashmore Park Estate, Wednesfield, England.
He makes microscopic art. His sculptures are typically placed in the eye of a needle or on the head of a pin. Willard started making tiny things when he was a child.
He spends months carving has tiny creations from materials such as toothpicks, sugar crystals and grains of rice an then paints them with a tiny hair such as an eyelash. His work can be seen through a microscope.
He created 77 micro-sculptures.
The tiniest sculpture, a kevlar human embryo the size of a blood cell, he placed inside his own bristle hair. This work in 2009 brought Willard the second Guinness world record. The first was achieved in 2006-for a three-micron model of a motorcycle made of 24-karat gold and placed inside a hair.
In July 2007 he was made an MBE.
Congo (1954–1964) was a chimpanzee who learned how to draw and paint. By the age of four, Congo had made 400 drawings and paintings. His style has been described as "lyrical abstract impressionism".
The reaction of critics during Kongo's lifetime to his work was a mixture of contempt and skepticism. Fame overtook the chimpanzee after his death — one of the paintings of the Congo was bought by Pablo Picasso, and Joao Miro exchanged two of his sketches for one creation of this artist
Banksy is an pseudonymous England-based street artist, political activist, and film director, active since the 1990s. Banksy's name and identity remain unconfirmed and the subject of speculation.
His satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humour with graffiti executed in a distinctive stenciling technique.
Banksy displays his art on publicly visible surfaces such as walls and self-built physical prop pieces.
Banksy's documentary film Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010) made its debut at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. In January 2011, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature for the film. In 2014, he was awarded Person of the Year at the 2014 Webby Awards.
Peter Gibson, a spokesman for Keep Britain Tidy, asserts that Banksy's work is simple vandalism.Another official for the same organisation stated: "We are concerned that Banksy's street art glorifies what is essentially vandalism."
