Цели урока: 1. Активизация употребления лексического материала по теме формирование умений в использовании речевых стратегий в монологических высказываниях. 2. Развитие у учащихся познавательного интереса, памяти, внимания, развитие умений учебного сотрудничества при выполнении коллективного познавательно- поискового задания, развитие навыков монологического высказывания с опорой на текст, развитие аналитического и критического мышления у учащихся.

3. Воспитание активной жизненной позиции, чувства прекрасного.


Ход урока:

I Оргмомент

Hello, dear students! Good afternoon, dear guests! I’m very glad to see you in a good mood, healthy and smart. Today at the lesson we are going to talk about different kinds of music, different singers. And the motto of our lesson is “Music is the soundtrack of our life!” I think, you agree with it. By the end of the lesson you’ll be able to prove it. Do you know how music appeared? There is a very interesting legend about it.


What is music? How did it appear? Who was the first to hear it? The Greek legend tells us that music appeared from nothing. A young girl named Evterpa was walking in the forest. She had a stick in her hand. Suddenly she heard the sounds of the wind in her stick. Since then Evterpa is the Muse of music. The stick she had became the flute. You can see her in the picture, holding her flute.

In the ancient times people met the music of nature. They heard the singing of birds, the roaring of animals, the sounds of a thunderstorm and the waterflow, the noise of the trees and the sea. Those sounds were everywhere, and people wanted to imitate them. Thus, the music was discovered.

  • music inspires;

  • music develops one’s imagination;

  • music can cheer up;

  • music can make people forget their troubles’

  • music helps people in daily routines;

  • music makes us more emotional.


Why do people listen to music?

  • to relax;

  • for pleasure;

  • to have fun;

  • to express their feelings.

Thank you very much for your answers. And now let’s see your creative works. We are going to talk about different musical styles. There are very much musical styles in the world – old and new, traditional and extraordinary. But there are styles that are favourite for the most people in the world. Those styles are:

-classical music;

- folk music;

- rock music;

- pop music;

-blues.

You have made small groups and created your project works. So, you are welcome!

Of course, music is eternal. Different people like different music. There are songs, singers, groups famous all over the world. Can you name some of them?

( Mirey Matieu, Alla Pugacheva, Elvis Presley, Eddy Murphy, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Lucciano Pavarotti, Dalida, The Beatles, Nirvana, Abba, The Rolling Stones)

Let’s do some listening.You are going to listen to a very popular song. Then we are going to sing it together, but before you must put the lines of the song in the right order. How do you think, what is the most famous group in Britain? (The Beatles). The name of the group consists of two words – beat and beetles. And what is the most famous song , known all over the world, by The Beatles? It’s “Yesterday “.

Today we have mentioned some musical styles, groups, singers, words and word-combinations about music. Now tell me, please, what is music?

  • music is a universal language of mankind;

  • everyone can understand it irrespective of nationality and age;

  • music develops art and strengthens its link with all the people in the world;

  • music is a wordless but expressive language;

  • music is unequalled in beauty;

  • music is the art of combining sounds with a vie to beauty of form and expressing of emotion;

  • music is a lady who talks charmingly and says nothing.
