Цель урока: создать условия для развития познавательного интереса обучающихся к изучению английского языка
Задачи:
Образовательные:развитие и совершенствование умений использовать лексические единицы в заданной ситуации и умения составлять монологическое высказывание по заданной ситуации.
Развивающие: развивать умение обобщать, анализировать информацию;
Воспитывающие: воспитание бережного отношения к воде; воспитание экологически грамотной личности.

1. Teacher: Good morning, dear friends! Welcome to our lesson! Look! ( пускаетмыльныепузыри)What can you see? Bubble? I don’t agree with you. It’s a sandwich! You will wonder, why? I’ll explain. There is something between two molecules of soap, can you guess what is it? (слайд № 1)
It’s a unique and wonderful thing! It may look like this just have a look at the picture! (слайд № 2)
Can you tell me What runs but never walks? What is the beginning of everything? Now, look at the picture What is common between them? Can you make a sentence from these two pictures? (Слайд № 3) Right you are! Water is life!
2.Teacher: We should soften the human environmental impact with the help of science. And the Earth would become a “ noosphere” – a planet of the mind. As long as we are people who care about our future there’s hope.So, as you understand we will speak today about water but from the ecological point of view. We will split into three groups and do a kind of research work.
Now we are going to elect the Major of Elista. I divided you into three working groups, please choose one candidate to be the Major from each group. Introduce yourself please.
3. Teacher: A future Major should have an ability to listen carefully and define the main things from a lot of ideas and problems. I invite you to listen to the speaker and try to tick out as many ecological problems as possible and write it in your exercise- books.
Please, name the problems. I’ll give a score to those who name more problems.
(Key: Excavation, deforestation, desertification, floods, draughts.)
4. Teacher: Ok, well done! A future Major should be well-educated person. Let’s check who knows the definitions better. I‘ll give you the cards, you work in groups. I’ll read the definitions and you name the problem in case you are right you cross the word with your pencil. Those who have more crosses will get a score.
5. Teacher: Now, when you proved that you know the terms let’s summarize our knowledge. Look at the Word Web and try to continue it.

5. Teacher: A Major should have an ability to foresee the future from different points of view. Now, look at the interactive board and try to match the beginning and the ending of if-clauses. I invite our majors.
6. Teacher: I think we deserve a little pause. Listen to the Caspian Sea! And try to follow the fish on the screen with our eyes.
7. Teacher: You all know that there is no future without learning on our mistakes from the past. If we want to understand our prospects and avoid catastrophes and disasters we shouldn’t ignore our past. Well, now you read the text about ancient civilizations. Find how the shortage of water led them to the decline. And then try to answer the question in ex 40 p 98.
8. Teacher: Can you connect this text with modern water problems? Can you name the countries where this problem is urgent? The Republic of Kalmykia is the driest region in Russia. Despite the existence in the steppe enough quantity of rivers and lakes, shortage of fresh water is felt by the population strongly. 8-10 litres of water for one person. Problem roots in ecological situation.
Today our future majors should try to find out more about this situation and look for the ways out of it. First of all try to fill in this list. And now I ‘ll give you one point and you give advantages and disadvantages of your choice.
9. Teacher: Let’s discuss how our republic should solve these problems in different regions. The 1st group should discuss and find ways out of your problem on water supply system in Elista and protection of Kolonsky pond. The 2nd group will discuss the threat of floods in Lagan. The 3rd group will solve the drought and desertification problem in Chernie Zemly.
10. Teacher: I invite the Majors to make some water-saving tips for people of our Republic. Choose only those which are connected to the problem.And, now, all the rest ,please, fill in Reflexion cards.
11. Teacher: To sum up our great job at the lesson let’scount our scores and find out who will be the Major of Elista. My congratulations , please, remember Water is the Precious gift of Life andWater gives life to everything so we must save water for the future generations.
