Открытый урок: «EACH PERSON HAS GOT HIS OWN LOVELY SEASON»


Форма проведения: игра-соревнование.

Цели: - повышение мотивации к изучению английского языка;

- воспитание уважительного отношения к культуре страны изучаемого языка.

Задачи:

- воспитывать положительное отношение к изучению английского языка посредством литературных источников;

- развитие творческих способностей детей;

- развитие визуальных способностей учащихся;

-пополнение словарного запаса учащихся.

Оборудование: магнитофон, компьютерная презентация, иллюстрации, карточки (+ и -).

Общие рекомендации:

  • Этот урок проводится для учащихся после повторения темы «Seasons» в начале учебного года.

  • Класс делится на команды, и урок проводится в виде соревнования между командами.

  • За несколько уроков до начала команды получают задания:

  1. найти стихи с описанием времени года;

  2. сделать собственные иллюстрации к этим стихам;

  3. представить свою команду в виде времени года и загадать загадку другим командам о представленном времени года.


Ход урока

  1. Вступительное слово учителя.

Teacher. Good afternoon, dear boys and girls! Today we are having a game – competition «Each person has got his own lovely season» and you can take part in it. Our game will consist of eight tasks. For every correct answer you’ll receive a star. At the end of our game we’ll learn the names of our winners.

Today we are going to speak about the seasons of the year. There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. What is your favorite season?


  1. Сообщения учащихся.

The1st Pupil. My favorite season is autumn. It’s a beautiful season. The leaves in the trees are red, yellow, brown and green. It is warm in September. I can go for a walk. On the 1st of September I am glad to see my friends at school after a long summer holiday. In autumn there are a lot of vegetables and fruit. I like pears, grapes and watermelons. They are tasty.

The 2nd Pupil. I don’t like autumn. It’s dull seasons. I don’t like when it rains. In October it is cold and it often rains, and we can’t go for a walk. The days are shorter than in summer and the sky is grey. I like summer. Summer is a bright seasons. The trees are green. It’s hot and I can swim in the river. I can play outdoors all day long. And I don’t go to school. We have the longest holidays in summer.

The 3rd Pupil. And my favorite season is winter. Winter is beautiful. The trees are write with snow. There is a lot of snow in the streets and in the park. My friends and I can play snowballs, we can make a snowman. I have a good time in winter.

The 4th Pupil. I don’t like winter. It’s so cold in winter. It often snows. The sky is grey. You can’t go to the forest to gather berries and mushrooms. You can’t swim in the river. The days are short and the nights are long. Il like spring. Spring is a beautiful season. The sun often shines, the sky is blue, the birds sing songs. In May the trees and grass are bright green. There are many beautiful flowers in May. We can go for a walk and we can play a lot outdoors.

Teacher. Well, children, I think all seasons are good and beautiful. Everything is good in its seasons.

  1. Представление команд (the first task)


Задача: Развивать навык самопрезентации;

развивать умение работать в команде.


Teacher. Today we are having a very funny competition. Four teams are taking part in it. They represent different seasons. Try to guess the name of each team.

Seasons, you are welcome!


The1st Team. March is here

April is near

Grass is green

So nice and clean.

What season is it? (Spring)

Teacher. Well, children, the first team is Spring.

Try to guess the name of the second team

The2nd Team. The summer Sun shines hot and high.

Baby birds now learn to fly.

Green, green leaves and tasty fruit,

All the things are so good!

What season is it? (Summer)

Teacher. Well, children, the second team is Summer.

Try to guess the name of the 3rd team

The 3rd Team. Put on your jacket and jeans for fall,

Now it’s cold to play football!

Leaves turn orange, red and brown,

And they all are falling down.

What season is it? (Autumn)

Teacher. Well, children, the 3rd team is Autumn.

Try to guess the name of the 4th team

The 4th Team. It’s cold now, so bundle up tight!

Warm mittens and caps will be just right.

Ice on the lake, snow on the ground,

Time to ski and skate all around.

What season is it? (Winter)

Teacher. Well, children, the 4th team is Winter.


  1. 10 слов, описывающих природу (the second task)

Teacher. I see that you know a lot about seasons. Now I’d like to see how you know the spelling of these words.

Your task is to find ten words, describing weather in this word square.

Задача: Воспитание уважительного отношения к культуре страны изучаемого языка.


У русского народа есть пословицы о временах года и о погоде. А вот интересно, есть ли какие-то английские пословицы, созвучные нашим, российским?

Вам предлагается несколько английских пословиц. Переведите их и подберите русский эквивалент.


  • There is no bad weather, there are bad clothes.

  • One swallow does not make a summer.

  • One woodcock does not make a winter.

  • Everything is good in its season.

  • After rain comes fair weather.

When we speak about seasons we always speak about weather. You can see different symbols of different kinds of weather. You have to write the correct word under each symbol.
