Aims: to develop pupils intellect and practice hearing, speaking skills.
to develop communicative abilities and their activity at the lesson
to practice using the words concerning on the theme “Weather”
Visual aids: scheme, a tape, an interactive board, word cards, pictures.
New words: hot, cold, windy, wet, sunny, foggy, cloudy.
Sentence card: it is hot, it is cold, it is wet, it is windy, it is sunny, it is foggy, it is cloudy.

The Procedure of a Lesson
Org.moment T: Good morning pupils! As far as I can see you are fine. I am very glad to see you!
Now let`s begin our lesson. With a song. Pupils will sing a song “I like ice-cream” PB p.19
T: Thank you pupils, your singing was very good.
T: After that, well play a game. It is called a reporter fuch kind of questions pupils will put to each other.
What is your name?
Where are you from?
Do you have a friend?
Is she a pupil?
How old is she?
Do you have some apples in your bag?
Want do you want to be?
Do you have a book on your desk?
Can you jump?
10)Can you speak English?
11)Where does Scott come from?
12) Where does Li come from?

T: Pupils today will start unit 13
What is the weather like? And on this theme will talk about weather.
Children look at the pictures on their books.
I`ll play tape 50. Children listen and point.
Tape 50. What is the weather like?
Listen!...(sound effect) its cold
Listen!...(sound effect) its windy
Listen!...(sound effect) its hot
Listen!...(sound effect) its sunny
Listen!...(sound effect) its wet
T: Ill tell the children that they are going to hear weather noises again. After each sound effect children describe the weather.
Tape: 51 Then I point outside and ask what is the weather like? Pls: It`s cold and snowy.
6)Work with a poem. We`ll read a poem and do actions.
Rain on the house (fingers together above head) –
Rain on the tree, ( arms out spread)
Rain on the little bird (flap arms and hands)
But don`t rain on me! (wap finger)
Rain on the boat ( make triangular shape of a sail)
Rain on the sea, (hand movement like the waves)
Rain on the little fish (palms facing to show size of fish)
But don`t rain on me ( wap finger)
7)Miming activity. I`ll ask a pair of children to come to the front of the class and hand them a sentence card. One child asks:
What is she weather like? The other child mimes the sentence to the rest of the class.
They guess the sentence.
8)Writing WB p.74. Children write sentences describing the scenes using two of the adjectives.
Answers: It is cold and windy. It is hot and sunny.
It is cold and wet.
9)The next task is to solve riddles.
1) It has four legs and arms, but it can`t walk? (armchair)
2) It has two hands on its face. What is it? (a clock)
3) The hander you beat, the louder it cries? (drum)
4) It has teeth, but can`t bite? (a comb)
The last task is to solve a crossword according to the theme.
Guessing the word.
10 + nis = tennis
some + 1 = someone
10 + t = tent
st + 1 = stone
of + 10 = often
h + 1 + y = honey
At the end of the lesson I`ll make a conclusion and give their home task.
