Урок английского языка в 11 классе

Тема: «Русские изобретатели и изобретения»

Цели урока:

  • Познавательный аспект – знакомство с выдающимися изобретателями и изобретениями России.

  • Развивающий аспект – развитие способности к распределению внимания, к догадке, к сравнению и сопоставлению, способности к обобщению при овладении грамматическим явлением, к формированию выводов из прочитанного и услышанного, к планированию своего высказывания.

  • Воспитательный аспект – воспитание чувства патриотизма, уважения к родной стране и ее выдающимся людям.

  • Учебный аспект – развитие умения читать, аудировать с целью извлечения конкретной информации; формирование навыков говорения, совершенствование грамматических навыков по теме “Past Simple Passive”,“Past Perfect Passive”.

Сопутствующая задача – развитие умения воспринимать на слух информацию в деталях.

Our lesson today is devoted to Russian inventors and their inventions (slide 1). You’ll learn a lot of useful information about achievements of our great scientists who did a lot for the glory of their country. You also will improve your grammar skills, practice reading and listening (slide 2).


  1. Warming up. Speaking.

We’ve already read and discussed a lot about inventors and inventions. You have learned a lot of words which are connected with our topic. Let`s remind some of them. Here you can see words. Let`s translate them into English (slide 3).

Now, I want you to answer my some questions:

  • What gadgets you have got in the home are invaluable for you?

  • And for you? And for your mother? And for your father?

  • What inventions in your opinion can you live without?

  • And what about you?

  • What thing would you like to have? And you?

  • Which inventions you consider are useless?

  • And what is your opinion? Do you think the same?



III. Активизация грамматического материала.

Now, let’s revise our grammar tenses. Let`s start from Past Simple Tense and Past Simple Passive (slide 4, 5) (учащиеся обобщают материал по таблицам)

Now let`s change the sentences from Past Simple Tense into Past Simple Passive together first. Now, please, do it yourselves in your notebooks. (slide 6). Please, do it in pairs in your exercise books.

IV. Reading.

You should read short information about Russian scientists and inventors and to fill the table. (приложение 1). Let`s read what have you as a result in your tables. (slides 12-15)



V. Listening.

Look at these objects, please, name them. We are going to listen about some modern appliances and do the task which you will hear. (slide 16)(приложение 2).

Listen to five short texts about modern appliances and match their numbers
With the names of the appliances given below. Choose the names of five appliances only. There is one extra name which you don`t need to use.

D – a mobile phone
