Тема: Необычные персонажи

Цель: создать условия для формирования у учащихся языковых навыков и речевых умений по теме «Необычные персонажи», для развития коммуникативной компетенции путем активизации изученной лексики; способствовать развитию внимания, памяти, мышления, воображения и языковой догадки у учащихся; содействовать развитию познавательного интереса по теме «Необычные персонажи», творческой фантазии, инициативы в осуществлении иноязычной речевой деятельности, а также воспитанию чувства взаимной ответственности, прививать навыки работы в коллективе..

Оборудование: мультиборд, доска, мел.

Дидактическое оснащение: учебник «English 6. Student’s book», Н.В.Юхнель; тетрадь по грамматике «English 6, Grammar», Т.Ю.Севрюкова, Н.В.Юхнель, Э.В.Бушуева; раздаточный материал.

Ход урока

I.                   Организационный момент

-         Hello, boys and girls! I’m glad to see you. How are you today?

-         Is anybody absent in our class today? What is the weather like today? What season is it now? Do you like winter? Why? Yes, winter is a season of snow, of wonderful holidays, of fairy tales and miracles.

-         Who likes fairy tales and miracles? And our lesson is connected with fairy tales, myths and legends and with unusual characters that you can meet there.

-         Today we will: read and listen to texts;

do exercises;

speak about monsters;

learn to describe our favourite monster;

play and have fun.

II.                 Речевая разминка

1)Look at the pictures. Do you know these unusual characters? What can they do? (слайды 2 - 8)

2)Do you believe in aliens? Monsters? Magicians? White tigers? Do you believe in God?

3)Translate into English:

увидеть привидение;

ужасные монстры;

представлять волшебников;

белые тигры – необычные тигры;

волшебные слова;

превратить шляпу в кролика;

НЛО с пришельцами;

     IV.    Основной этап урока

1.     The students are divided into 3 small groups. (Each group has its name and emblem, e.g. White Tigers, Green Aliens, Golden Dragons)

2.      Развитие лексических навыков

- Have you ever seen a ghost? The UFO? A real dwarf? Where can we meet them? (in myths and legends, books and films)

Make a list of monsters you have heard of. Remember the books and films about monsters.

3.     Listening (развитие навыков восприятия и понимания иноязычной речи на слух)

4.     Work in groups (развитие навыков чтения и говорения)

1)Read the three children say about their favourite monsters.

 Ex.3a, p. 90-91, слайды 10 - 12

(Каждая группа готовит ответы на предтекстовые вопросы по своему тексту, 1 человек зачитывает текст, члены других групп отвечают на вопросы, группа-эксперт даёт оценку ответам)

(Исполнение песни «Who took the candy…» по ролям с движениями)

           2)We know about Loch Ness Monster. Where does it live? (in Scotland) Today we’ll get acquainted with another unusual character from the British Isles. Look at the pictures (слайды 13 – 15). It’s a leprechaun. Leprechauns live in Ireland. Let’s do an exercise to learn more about them.

   Match the questions and the answers.

   - What do you know about leprechauns now?

      3)Do you know our Belarusian national monsters? One of them is Tsmok. Look at the picture and try to describe Tsmok and say what it can do. Now look at the statue of a tsmok. Compare it with the picture. (слайды 16 – 18)

      4)Работа в командах, по одному участнику получают задание раскрасить необычного героя, пока у них идет работа, остальные учащиеся выполняют задания.

Игрокам двух команд дается задание собрать картинку и сказать, что на ней изображено. Картинка предварительно разрезается на несколько частей. Чем больше частей, тем сложнее и интереснее.
